There is a steel match at the Bullet Hole this coming Saturday July 8th. You use the dirt road behind the mobile home and go to the back and make the first left. Sign up at 8:30 and shoot at 9:00. Five stages, bare minimum of 120 rounds if you don't miss (yeah, right).
Anybody heard from Deaf Smith? He will miss Hardin. Anybody remember the back and forth they used to have on, what was it? The firing line? Or shooters? Deaf Smith, being a lawdog, must hate criminals.
Anybody out there ever shoot 1 of the Second Chance matches in Michigan around June. They went on every year for almost 20 years, wasn't it?
I never did but I shot a lot of local pin matches from 84-87 or 8 and from 96 until 01. Been shooting at a local club lately but it seems that the tables...
Gillster, I am pretty sure that I have met you at Mr G. F.'s range in Bulverde.
I shoot my revolver on the 1st Sunday at this range. It is a 6 shot N-frame .44 Special with iron sights. I'm not very good with it but at least it is not a safe queen. I am the one that always snivels about dot...
User firearms
When I had my ffl, I lost a lot of sales by not having used guns. I was never able to buy them cheap enough to make a decent profit. Personally, almost every used gun that I have bought I have had trouble with. Save x amount from buying new, end up spending 2x on gunsmith...

How can it be fair if double stack 1911s are in the same class (SA) as 8 shot 1911s? Don't those Para-Ordnance and STI/SVI models hold 15 or more rounds? Or is it just shoot what you carry and the heck with how you place?
Also, once again, you will have some who show up in trench coats...

My main carry is a Kel-Tec p3at in a pocket holster or Uncle Mike's belt pouch. I am not allowed to compete in USPSA or IDPA with this. I would support IDSA because I have always preached the KISS principle. Of course you know that you will have shooters cutting off 2' from the bottom of...
Try to find a website on Blackjack Knives. They made a comeback and I have heard that they are excellent knives. They are supposed to have a camp knife that you can sharpen on cardboard. I checked it out but I am too cheap to spend more than what I can pay for a Buck or Case.
They won't sell you a firearm, but they will take your money to let you shoot.
That reminds me of dealers at gun shows that give discounts only to LE. If I wanted to buy something from them I would put it back down and walk away.
Do they ask for serial numbers at this range?
Randall Knives
The Chris Reeve Knives are probably stronger, I have never owned either one, so I don't know for sure. For hunting, if I could get a Randall for less than CRK, then I would. For combat, I would probably go with CRK.
There are safes out there that weigh 300 lbs. That would be better than nothing. When you go to the range, you carry a firearm with you when you walk to your vehicle. Neighbors outside at the same time walking the dog, watering the grass, cutting the grass, jogging, etc. Everyone knows that you...
