GP100 357 with a 6" barrel. For just shooting period, I love it. I love pulling this thing out at the range with friends and laying it next to their plastic toy looking things. Then following up their "bang bangs" with a KA-BOOM!!
I've never regretted buying my GP100 6" SS. I personally wouldn't get anythingless than a 6" unless I was doing a lot of carrying.
I'd like to get a S&W one day, though.
Just ordered the Gunvault from sportco.com. It was $83 shipped. It's the 1000 STD model. I have a little one coming and wanted to get used to keeping the gun by my bedside in a safe instead of the dresser.

I'd keep a Ruger, DW, one of the 9mm, and a Model 10 for yourself. Give either the other Ruger Service or 9mm to your sons and the other Model 10 for your daughter.
Sorry guys. English is my second language and sometimes, I cannot write as eloquently as some of you. Mods, feel free to modify as you see fit, or even delete the thread.
Sorry if this has been posted before, but I just wanted to know, how many have actually emptied their chambers/magazines in a shootout? (War zone scenarios excluded. I'm talking regular civilians.)
Many of you say you carry a 15-19 rounds in the gun, along with a mag or two. Others carry 5...
That's not Tae Kwon Do. What most people in the US and other parts of the world see is watered-down, commercialized crap worth about as much as Tae Bo in hand to hand combat.
