p238 is a sweet shooter, as well as being SAO. if it wasn't for the new XDS, coming out eventually in .40sw, i'd probably get it for pocket carry. mini 1911, you might say.
I would be very happy to have XDs made here. Illinois or anywhere in the US. I don't give a hoot about crooked or no politicians. Perhaps as the popularity of the XD line grows the company will figure out how to accomplish this. Maybe then JACKPINESAVAGES will quit his rants agin anything XD ...
Now Lee has a seating and ROLL crimping die and that die is backed out NOT to crimp if, as I have, a Factory Crimp die is used. Don't know anything about r c b s dies, but have you guys figured out what kind of dies the OP in fact has? Just wondering

That's what I get for Google voicing. Should read "by Lee to sell dies" BUT I have a question. How do you know IF the FC crimp is sufficient? Thanks sage colleagues

be careful when you buy an electronic scale, Wolverine, cuz i bought one at Harbor Freight for 9 after 25% discount, but it was only sensitive to .1 g, that's gram. fyi, .1g is equal to...

I like my x d 40 with a SAO trigger. The combination of the USA trigger and a grip safety give me the confidence to carry with the barrel pointed at my parts IMPO

going to bed now, but just got off of 'xdtalk.com' and their reloading forum called Ammo Can.
the thread was from a newbie reloader, and he got his butt chewed for doing things he knew nothing about, cuz he didn't read any manuals, like the ABC's of Reloading, etc., but the xdtalkers all gave...
basicblur, you made good points.
that's why i like the XD line. no safety and it's a true SAO trigger, but does incorporate the grip safety and the so called USA trigger (ultra safety, a two stage trigger). i want to carry locked and loaded. that's why i'm waiting for the new XDS, for Slim...
i'm gonna wait til SA comes out with the XDS in 40sw. having an xd 40, i'd like to keep the muscle memory the same. don't need a safety with the grip safety and the USA trigger feature. it's muscle memory for me. but i would like to shoot this SW Shield too, before making decision. is the Shield...
i bought a Smart Reloader model SR 737 Nano on ebay for 39.95 incl ship. works fine. will hold about 100-150 of my .40sw cases, they say 300 9mm cases. i bought Zilla walnut media for tumbling at Petco for 8 bucks, 5.5lbs worth. Harbor Freight has 25 lb FINE grit for 22.95. but that would last...

if you want to see a neat holster go to:
smartcarry.com/reviews.html
there are a number of videos to watch, but look at the 3rd in the list by Tim Schmidt, USCCA. i think he's got a neat point to make. looks like you can carry a fairly good-sized weapon and the mag pocket is slick. think...
+1 with byrd666 and bannockburn's reasons for Sig P238
i've shot and just love the Sig P238 also. since it's an SAO trigger, having the manual safety would make it more 'comfortable' to carry in pocket with round in chamber, IMO. a mini 1911, in .380. nice, but pricey too.
if cost is an...
rcmodel is to be listened to, for sure, but IMHO i use Gibbs Brand Lubricant (.com if you're interested) and nothing else on my xd40. there is no oil in it, and it not only gets barrel fouling out, but otherwise cleans, and protects. it leaves a microns-thick coating to prevent rust. is not a...
