May not be everyones choice here but I have a few 22's that are scoped so I will give you my experience. I have a Marlin 60 that has a 3-9x32 Center Point that I got at Wally World for about $60. Decent scope for the money. I also have a 10/22 that has a Nikon 3-9 on it. This scope was about...
I have a newer 580 series tactical. It is as accurate as some of my entry level AR's. The tapered barrel and flash hider helped a ton. Mine is a consistant 1.5" rifle at 100yds even when hot.
you might be eating crow if you think the 7.62x39 won't go 600yds. I have shot 400 with mine with a 3x optic easily.
Here is a thread on Dabe Suarez shooting 500yds with a AK.

I grab whatever I feel like carrying that day. I have used 30/30 levers, 30.06 Bolts, .308 bolts, AR's and AK's. I have not had a problem dropping a deer with any of them. Know what you are using and place the shot accordingly.
Lately I have been using my AK with an Aimpoint Micro. I have...
I have the Blackwater P226 tactical with the extended mag well, beavertail and TFO front sight. It is the most accurate 9mm pistol I have owned. Great handling gun. Hard to beat 4 20rnd mags. Wish I would have bought 2 when I had the chance and picked up a Sig Blackwater 1911.
I got tired of my 22 semi autos having ammo issues. Sold a P22, Mosquito and a few others. I ended up with a Ruger Single Six and a Heritage Single Action. Both with 22lr and 22mag cylinders. Go great with my Henry 22lr and 22WMR lever guns and will shoot any ammo out there.
Built a few Delton kits and used some of their uppers. Been as accurate and reliable as the other uppers I have used. On my pesonal AR I used a Spikes Lower DTI upper and put a Spikes Full Auto Bolt carrier in it. DTI is GTG in my mind.
Decent price on a pre 64. I have a 1953 model and it has held up well in the 18 years I have owned it.
I have seen the pre 64's go from the low of $450 to the high of $750. Yours will onlygo up in value if taken care of.
How bout posting some pics of it.
I carried a 30/30 on the ranch for years. Got tired of carrying 2 types of ammo in the truck. Lately if working on the ranch I have been carrying a Henry Frontier in .22mag and a Ruger Single Six loaded the same. I have had good luck taking coyotes up to 100yds with the Henry wearing a fixed 4x...
I don't know why people believe the crap about Wamlmart ammo and firearms being a lesser quality. Imagine someone using it for SD and a round not firing.
No way ammo companies and Walmart would take such a high liability risk like that. This rumor was started by gun stores to boost there...
The walking out policy is in every large store I have been in. The local WM's here carry the Circuit Judge as well as the Mini 14's and allot of shotguns and bolt rifles. They are now carrying allot more knives as well. People like to complain about them but too many times I have had to run out...
The higher priced BCG's are MPI and HPT tested individually. Some of the lower end ones are batch tested. The chances of getting a bad BCG in a batch is there but rare.
The full auto ones by companies like BCM, Spikes, LMT, DD are all MPI/HPT tested, and are heavier. IMHO they are a great...
I have Tru Glo TFo's on my G19. I also have a Tru Glo TFO front sight on my Sig Blackwater P226. IMHO they are great sights for a carry, HD gun. I have thousands of rounds through mine without a problem. I do use a small square of skateboard tape on top of my slide behind the ejection port if I...
I agree to check the grip you are using. Also remove the slide and push slightly up on the slide stop lever- it should have some spring tension pushing it back down. I have seen some not get the slide stop lever back in properly after disassembly. The locking block pin (upper) needs to go in...
I have a 580 series tactical that shoots all weights well but seems to like 62grn the best past 100yds. 55grn at 100 will group about 1.5". The 62grn will group about 1" at 100, and 1.25" at 150yds, and right at 1.5" at 200yds.
