A Canadian Mounty gave my friend this advice when we where canoeing the boundary waters. "Smear the 9mm pistol in bacon grease, when the bear stops to lick the pistol make your retreat."
I carry spare mags when I ware my shoulder holster, I don't expect to use them but they help balance the rig out.
You only need guns for SHTF because you can take what ever you want from the zombies.
DammitBoy, great pic, but if... or should I say when, you are ambushed in the shower how do you get into that bag quickly enough to defend yourself?
You ned a knife sealed in a vacuum bag to open the bag for the rifle quicker. Maybe even scissors in a zip lock bag to open the knife in a...

I have Savages in .22 WMR and .17 HMR. The .17 can shoot tighter goops but... the .22WMR is more consistent at 100 yards and I get right around 1 moa accuracy all the time. My .17 goes from .5 moa to 2 moa depending on...
...check. However, I have begun carrying a Walther PPS, striker fired no safety and love it as a CCW. At the Range 1911s, BHPs, PPK/S and Colt SAAs* are my preferred guns. The Walther PPS just carries better, so while a safety is preferred it is not necessary with a holster that covers the...
You sound like a fan boy;) You are slamming the perceived other side, with a personal attack on me for using the term "fan boy". I bet you think 9mm is as good as 45 ACP.... I am really kidding here, I know for a fact each one punches a hole in a piece of paper, but the .45 hole is bigger...
I started this thread to give the Glock camp something to do besides wave the Glock Flag in the “How Many 1911s do you own” pole I started.
Couple of interesting things I noticed between the two poles
With Both Groups about 50% own more than one, but the 1911 owners are far more likely to...
I have shot in very heavy rain. I was not doing series target shooting but with the .22 WMR at 100 yards I could heat be bullet hitting the rain as it went down range.
I sold off my Glock in 1991 and I am a 1911 type guy, Interesting he likes both. I think I am with Madcap Magician in this one. The 9mm Colt Commander is relatively rare compared to most others, but it will get banged up if it is carried every day.
Hmmm I dont have a 9mm Commander...I think I...
I voted Rem and I own a BLR. It has been back to Browning twice. Shame, I like Browning liked the idea of the gun but in reality the mechanism is not that reliable. Lowering the hammer after being in 20 degree weather all day, loosing dexterity and warring gloves is scary. I had the hammer get...
Am I missing something, all 4 of my savage rimfires came with a floated barrel from the factory. My .17 was not perfect so I had to take a little off of the stock, is that what you are referring too? They also all like different torque settings connecting them to their stocks.
That is why the Gold Cup is in my post. But, I will only shoot for fun or on request, not demand.
The PPK/S is a good shooter too. My Practical BHP is a good shooter but the Renasaunce BHP does not get shot much and has a crappy trigger.
You should have read my OP, I was not looking for your insight if you do not own one. The goal of the pole was to see how many owned more than one and it appears the answer is about 70%
Interesting, in my opinion, capacity is an issue, are you having trouble hitting what you shoot at? Perhaps...
