I searched. Maybe I missed it. Apologies. My friend just sent me this article about a mayor who tried force an underage person into relations. This person used a firearm even though he is against firearms. And he furnished alcohol to said underaged individual...
The gun I want has a nickel finish, all shiny. Wondering if I could tone the sheen down without making it more prone to rust or jeopardize the durability of the finish. I was thinking maybe 1000 grit sand paper or any other ideas and input??
Thanks.
I want a Shotgun for home.
I am wanted to go hunting Chukar birds and Buck.
Could I use the 590 mariner 9 shot 20" barrel to do all three?
I am not expecting to go and deaden a whole lotta birds.
Nor am I expecting to push a Sabot a hundred yards.
Main goal is to protect the home; as...
I have been looking for grips for the Ruger SP101 and I noticed they all cover the back strap. I looked at badger and the eagle grips. Is there anything that's wood that let's the back strap show? I think that's the right term? I like the frame showing on the back of the gun. Any ideas?
I was invited to go hunting.
I was told to get a 12 gauge long gun for Chukar, and a 30-06 or around that for Buck.
I was told at Big 5 I can run a slug through a 12 gauge and have good accuracy up to 100 yards or so.
I saw a 12ga Rossi, feels nice enough for the $150 they want, of course...
Hello, Received an Armi San Marco 12 gauge single shot shotgun.
It says
Conneticut Valley Arms Inc, Norcross GA - Made in Italy
Armi San Marco 12 GA. 3" CH.
The only serial # I can find is under the barrel # 020910
Inside the receiver for the barrel (The action?) FINITO
Anyways...
Me Again, working on the Taurus, want to add some old style wood grips and tyle T grips to them. All the grips I see are big and fat or rubber.
Anyone make these for a Taurus? The shorter the better, I want to make a nice tight clean look.
So I wanted to shave a little off the hammer spur.
Didn't want shaving crumbs to get into the gun, so I dissasembled it.
I was very proud of myself that it only took half the day to put it back together (Ididn't want to take that long but as I was putting the hammer back in the rest of the...
I just realized how cool some guns would look with polycarb or lexan grips / stocks on them. See through parts are cool.
(BTW, that was the inner hidden toddler in me)
:neener:
Hello.
I have a Taurus 85.
It has one of those hammer doo hickeys that you use to cock the gun for like a single action use.
Anyways, the thing snags on everything.
Is it legal to remove that?
Like litarally shave it off?
I won't lie I posted this in the Revolver section.
But I have a Taurus 85B2, want to improve the sights.
I have seen guys paint, I have seen guys strip off the blueing, is there a less mickey mouse and higher class way of improving the sights on these snubs?
I have seen people paint the sights as well as strip the blueing off of the sights. I need to improve the signts on mind, and are looking for a classier not mickey moused improvement, any suggestions.
Well I just wanted to state, that I love my Taurus 85.
Has Hogue grips, its all blue steel.
And it shoots better with its 2 inch barrel than our Ruger MK3 with the 7 inch barrel.
I kid you not, so far no reliability issues.
Thought I'd share this info for anyone looking at a Taurus
I have a totally innocent question that I hope the answers don't spiral out of control.
Why do people consider the 45 ACP the best of the big bore cartridges?
I have read guys saying they would take it over the 41 magnum, 44 special, 44 magnum, 45 long colt, 45 GAP, and 10mm cartridges...
Well, Finally, Finally, Finally decided I want and need a J Frame.
My questions are as I have seen some well worn models where the Anodizing or Finish is starting to wear off.
Can you strip the finish off and just polish the Aluminum to a shine?
Will it "ruin" the gun, any legal...
At a store, and I showed my wife.
She was like, "That would be a nice one for me, but you wouldn't use ir right?"
and I say, "I was thinking it would be a nice new toy for me, and it's smaller than our .22 and our shotgun so it would make sense to take it along on hikes, and camping."
she...
Why is a PPK not considered a mousegun or even a ratgun?
How many rounds can go through them without a major replacement of parts (Ruger MK3 50k+ still fine, or a Roughbough or whatever they are called saying to replace the spring every 250 rounds)
I understand this is one of the most famous...
A Carpati 95, made by Romarm
Looks like it has maybe a 100 to 200 rounds through it, a Walther PPK clone.
I have read mixed reviews on it, but its only $150.
An odd pocket esque pistol made in Romania, .380 caliber semi auto, looks similar to a cross between a PPKS and a Cheetah, I think the name was Capetori or something, anyone have any info?
