I have planned out my short action rifle build and have narrowed it down to 6.5 creedmoor and 6.5 Lapua.
I know they are extremely similar but after combing through dozens of threads it basically comes down to creedmoor if you don't reload and lapua if you do because the lapua is more accurate...
I realize that may sound like a stupid question, but what I mean by it is is it possible for a rifle to shoot a not so good 1-2 inch group at 100 yards but maintain that at further distance rather than growing at the "moa" rate, i.e. 1" @ 100, 2" @ 200, 3" @ 300.
Could you shoot a group that is...
hello,
So my old method was load 10 of a few suggested loads (not going over max) and keep the best. That worked well enough but I wanted to try something to conserve a bit of ammo and maybe even get better accuracy.
Here are my results from 4 ladders at 200 yards. They were transferred from...
I am looking specifically for loads with only 8208. It's currently the only powder I have. I know varget and rl15 are great but my goal is to stick with one powder if possible for bulk purchases.
The bullets I have for testing are:
Hornady-
50gr zmax (vmax)
55gr fmjbt
68gr hpbt match
75gr...
I don't know about you all but brass prep is my least favorite part of reloading. Trimming being the worst of it.
Right now I use that cheap Lee set up where you attach every piece into the drill and it is a pain to say the least, especially when making 300 blk out of 223 cases.
I want to...
Ive held both in the local shop and while they look similar the p30 is by far more comfortable to hold. Are the grips different or does the VP9 have the exact (with differet texture) same grip as the p30 if the pannels are the same ie both with small pannels, similar to the sig 250/320? The only...
I plan on purchasing a Sig P226 9mm in the near future but I am having trouble deciding between da/sa and sao. It will either be an elite or legion. Possibly an x5 but those are a bit pricey.
So those of you who have used both, are the single action triggers different? Did you get one and...
I want to make my trigger a touch lighter, smooth, crisp and able to take the hard primers from steel case ammo (ive been having issues with light strikes).
100% reliability is crucial.
After some reading i am considering:
A 6lb extra power trigger spring
A 6lb extra power striker spring...
I need 1000 rnds for the police academy. After a few searches I have found a few things that are a bit old and am looking for more current information.
I have been considering ammoseek.com but have never heard of the cheapest brands so would need some reviews. My only requirements would be...
I have an M&P40 and like it but will be switching to 9mm and am pretty interested in the FNS9 as well. There are a few brief comparisons online but are all a least a few years old. I was wondering if now that the fns has a bit longer track record there is anything else to tell?
Both will be...
I am just wondering what your opinions are about this. For those who are against even carrying "cocked and locked," you need not reply.
Isnt an "unlocked" 1911 not as safe (or safer) than glock or m&p? With those if (you are stupid) and hook something on the trigger it will shoot. With a...
Im building a 300 blk pistol and i found these on ebay for less than $100.
I know sometimes you get what you pay for, im just hoping these are a good value.
Its a 8" with 1 in 7 twist.
Wanting one of their grips but want to hear from those that have them before i order.
It would be the wrap arounds.
Ive also considered the sheet and making my own.
Im trying to get cheap practice ammo that will mimic my 124gr gold dots. i know that is the purpose of the lawman but since i cant seem to find any in my area would blazers 124gr be another good option? They are both made by CCI i believe.
Thanks
What are the cuts or angles like on the 26 and 34 called by Glock?
More importantly, what reason could Glock have for not putting them on all pistols?
Who would choose a squared front over angled?
I am about to "pull the trigger" on a G19 Gen 4.
However, I held a VP9 today and man is that a comfy, sharp looking pistol and there seems to be very little to complain about.
