    Ruger EC9s...followed me home today

Unfortunately again, the LC9 was the only one with a stainless slide. What you saw in the EC9s was a stainless cerakote. Again, the EC9 coating is where a lot of the value is lost for the purchaser.

    Ruger EC9s...followed me home today

Unfortunately, this oxide is the lowest covering possible on a firearm next to bare steel. I really wish ruger hadn't gone this direction with the LC9 series.

    TriStar P120 vs. CZ 75

Hey there. The P120 is a copy of the CZ SP-01. Mags should be interchangeable. The weird named canik fanatic forum could be used to confirm though. Canik is the maker. Tristar is the importer. Canik is imported by the less than reputable other company. That's the difference.

    Barnes 9mm 115gr +P TAC-XPD in Clear Ballistics Gel

I agree it's good, but I haven't found Cor-Bon for sale though. Ammoseek, slickguns, google...nothing.

    Barnes 9mm 115gr +P TAC-XPD in Clear Ballistics Gel

When Remington bought Barnes, I think Cor-Bon, and especially PDX, was left behind? Can't find it in any of the ammo searches or google.

    Barnes 9mm 115gr +P TAC-XPD in Clear Ballistics Gel

Thank you for correcting me on my correction to multiple wrong comments. While it is called calibrated gel, could you consider your correction at my post while looking up the definition of calculated and calibrated? Please report the overwhelming difference.

    Barnes 9mm 115gr +P TAC-XPD in Clear Ballistics Gel

Gel doesn't simulate a human being inch for inch. How could it? Calculated gel is used as a standard test medium. 13" in gel does not mean 13" in a person. If that were true, the 18" maximum for FBI testing wouldn't make sense from straight on.

    Barnes 9mm 115gr +P TAC-XPD in Clear Ballistics Gel

It's all copper. The all copper round takes up more space to get weight. That's why.

    Kahr CM9?

It's smaller, but it isn't small enough for everyday comfortable pocket carry for me. The CM9 size is shown next to my old P3AT (replaced with an LCP)-it's thick and taller by quite a bit. The photos of the two stacked on top of each other are a bit misleading in width and height differences.

    Back in the 9mm market,,,again

I would recommend seeing what Walther has to offer. No Sig is thin or light except for their two pocket guns. Having owned both, the P938 is nowhere near 1911 triggers: it's heavy. A Walther P99 is about G19 size. It acts just like a DA/SA with a decocker and comes with the PPQ SA trigger that...

    Cutting a Mossberg 500 Barrel: 28 or 24?

Hello, I just purchased a Mossberg 500 12 gauge Bantam (youth sized model) which comes with a 24" barrel with chokes. I also have a 28" barrel with chokes. Both barrels have vent ribbing. I would like a vent rib barrel in the 18-20" range, but Mossberg only makes a 20" vr barrel and Buds has...

Unexpectedly Got a CZ P09, What Do You Think of Them?

Liked mine okay, but defiantly one of the longest trigger resets I can think of in single action.

S&W M&P Sport II - rear sights shifts if I wiggle front hand guard

Hello, The rear sight moves around (a bit) on my new unfired S&W M&P Sport II if I wiggle the front hand guard. I realize it's all connected together, but wouldn't that throw aim? Is this a problem or normal?

Has anyone handled a SAR SARGUN?

The USP had the short nub mag release. The P2000 had the short nub mag release. The P30 (P3000) came out in 2006. Longer, but still a nub. The P99 Gen1 was the first with an extended "paddle" release. 1996. That isn't an HK mag release and that isn't anything but 100% geometry of the P99 Gen1...

Has anyone handled a SAR SARGUN?

I can't defend the trigger comment. However, the trigger appearance is 100% Walther P99 Gen1. Notice the ski bump and it's location? Notice the short paddle mag release? Notice the shape of the trigger guard? Wait, back up. Did you hear the paddle release part? That's all Walther's creation...

    Rough Rider-22Mag hurt accuracy? Length?

I am thinking of the 4.75 22/22wmr with the wood grips.

    Rough Rider-22Mag hurt accuracy? Length?

Hey, I am thinking of picking up a Rough Rider combo. I've read weird things that a 22 or 22mag is more accurate out of the combo model, but not both. Is there anything to it? Finally, any thoughts on a 4.75 vs 6.5 barrel length?

    New gun "transferred" at FFL?

I am being fully cooperative to pay all expenses to the gun seller shop. The gun is in huge demand and sold out as a special. They will have 0 problem selling it. No issue there. It sounds like I should continue to push the issue of asking for the return (at full cost to me) and not pick it...

    New gun "transferred" at FFL?

Sorry. My bad description. My FFL is happy to send it back. Great relation with the guy. The online store (ie, the "gun shop" as I mislabeled it above) is telling me it is "transferred" once the FFL takes possession. Their return policy is 25 bucks. When I contacted them they said that is only...
