Somebody slap me silly... Apparently, I hadn't learned the truth on this one yet. Interesting. Makes perfect sense.. ya know, gravity and such. I guess I just took all those bullet-drop graphs literally. I never even knew this was an issue.
I'm never afraid to be disabused of a drop of my...
Toilets. Ok, we only did this once... and probably shouldn't have. But it was pretty funny. Fruit and Veggies in general are good. Those little plinking spinning target things you can buy are actually pretty fun in my opinion. They can be quite economical. Clay pigeons are another- small...
I just picked up an XL7 too. I got a deal at Bi-Mart for $248 on Black Friday. It seems like a solid choice and best in its price class. The trigger is quite nice.
It IS nice to see ammo on shelves finally. At least for the most popular handgun calibers.
Reading some of your posts reminded me of a couple of reasons I like living in Oregon. For one thing, the gun laws are pretty good. (Shall issue state etc..) But also- no sales tax. One of only two...
Any sweet deals?
I picked up a Marlin XL7 30-06 for $247 at Bi-Mart. That's $100 less than Bud's (after FFL fee). Nice! I've found Bi-Mart to have good prices on long guns. They were out of .22 ammo though.. lame.
What did you find?
If you want to go ghetto, like me, you just drill holes and install some hooks and/or attach points for small bungie cords etc.. Maybe I can only do that cause I have a cheaper safe... I don't know about you rich guy safes. ;)
Good for you for discussing it.
Still, this needs to be said:
The divorce rate IS NOT 50%. It never has been and probably never will be. In fact, it peaked at around 41% in the 70s and has been going DOWN. It's an oft-quoted wrongness. (yes, that's a real word) :)...
I forget who, but someone on here has a signature that says, "If it's time to bury em, it's time to use em."
Given our current political drift, does anyone believe that "time" will be anytime soon, like the next decade?
It was only 2-3 years after that first tea party before there was a...
As to the article, I think it's helpful. It's still a well-named peer-reviewed journal. You're not going to get a lot better than that in terms of academic support. We know it's common sense. We also know too many people lack that common sense. It's just another tool to use to beat over the head...

Yo
Hello from Oregon. I've been reading posts on her for a couple years on and off. I am mostly interested in handguns and shotguns. I had a subscription to handguns magazine when I was in the 8th grade. I'm a youngish family man. The third son is on his way. So, I'm also interested in the less...
