Hello! My name is Chris, and I recently seperated from the AF after the better part of a decade and am currently working on my degree. I'm married with one very wonderful son, and an ornery beagle.

I've lurked for quite a while, but never took the time to join. I'm a moderator at The Second Amendment Society ("moose"), and run our Postal Match competitions there (though...I seldom win, haha). Recoil1776, the admin at the SAS and a new member here, happened to notice the members here at THR were enjoying the reduced marksmanship targets for thier Rimfire Match, and figured that was my cue to finally join.

I'm glad to see other sites encouraging marksmanship among their members, and if you'll have me, I'd love to take part in your match.

Thanks!

Chris

Hello there,

I've decided to sharpen my warrior skill and learn more about firearms.

Ive heard about the High Road from friends and I hope to learn and share.

All the best.

Hi
My name is Brian. I have always liked shooting but never thought about the guns I was using. Recently I built my first AR15 and I have learned so much about guns. Also; learned that there is a whole lot more I don't know.

My name is my user name. Easier for me to remember that way.

I had a CHL in Texas ten years ago, but when I moved across the river, I never sought to renew. I pastor a small Southern Baptist church, and as treasurer of our town's ministerial alliance, I have a good number of folks stop by for assistance. Some of them lately have been kind of scary, and I decided it would be prudent to be able to defend myself.

I just purchased a new SA XD(M) .40, and I'm loving it. The FFL I bought it from works out of his home, and has a private range, to which he has kindly given me access. A month ago, I left my concealed carry permit application with the sheriff, and should receive my permit early in the new year.

Looking forward to learning from this forum.

Hi, I'm from germany and 30 years old . I practice gunsport since 10 years (primary pistols and shotguns). my interested in gunsports selfdefense and law enforcment.

Hello.
I'm former army (10yrs) looking for a handgun and not sure what to get. I'm used to rifles, but new to handguns. I'm 36 and want to get my CC permit with my wife this spring.

hello all. been lurking for years, never really had time to devote to being an active member.
me: lifelong hunter, gun owner, gun user, gun advocate, God fearing libertarian. (for lack of a better descriptive)
i own many, try to use them all for what they're for.

have a lot of irons in the fire and hope to offer what i may from my own personal experience.
i heartily admire the environment that has been established here and the work of Oleg and his dignitaries who are so devoted to keeping THR on the right path.
MOLON LABE!

I'm Karl. I'm a shooting novice. My gun collection is merely two guns, an inherited S&W .38 that's a bit older than me and a Ruger GP100 I bought a year ago.

I decided to finally join this forum to learn more about guns, as I've found there is a virtually unlimited amount to learn. The more I learn it seems the less I know as every answer leads to new questions that I never even thought of before.

As a libertarian I've long supported gun rights in theory, but didn't do anything hands on with guns till the last year.

I've found myself totally outraged by the seemingly endless stream of anti-gun "let's harass gun owners" legislation that gets proposed. Being on the mailing list for the NRA-ILA and GOA gives me lots of topics to write to my elected officials about, in addition to all the topics I come up with on my own. I've become a rather prolific writer of pro-gun editorials. I suspect readers of a certain paper think "another letter from that gun nut" when they see my name.

Hello,

My name is Trace, I'm 39 and I am getting back into the shooting sports after about a decade off. I shot quite a bit in my 20s, owned several handguns and shotgun back then but ended up selling them when I moved back to the east coast for a bit and never got back into it.

I'm finding that now: ammo is way more expensive than it was in 2000, there sure are a lot of plastic guns out there, and there sure are a lot of .223 options available now! Also, really liking the post-ban lack of hi-cap mag buying hysteria.

Just got my CCW, and I'm getting ready to start up my collection again and possibly get into IDPA shooting.

Hello,

My name is Greg. I'm mid 40's and got my first gun when I was 12, a Winchester 20g youth model with the stock cut down. A couple years later I was given my first deer rifle, a Marlin 336c in .35.

The collection has grown from there and this is the year that I finally set up for reloading.

Thanks for having me.

New Old Guy on the block. I've been around guns most of my life. I recently completed a CCW class, and have purchased a 9mm XD Compact, and a Ruger LCR for my personal protection. Love both guns. My better half has been shooting the XD, and can hold her own with it. She is the main reason that I went with the 9mm.

Deer hunting is limited to shotgun in Delaware. I use an H&R 20 Gauge, and it has served me well. Shoots sub 1" groups at 50 yards with Remington Accutip slugs. Since most of my shooting is under 100 yards, the H&R has got the job done. I have never needed a second shot, but I dont take a shot unless I feel confident it will be a kill shot.

My shotgun is a Remington 1100 12 gauge, which has served me well for 30 years. I have a few other guns in the closet such as a 357 Security Six, a 12 gauge Fox, a sporterized Springfield 30-06, and even an old 30-40 Kraig, and a couple of 22's.

There is a handgun for deer season in Delaware in January and I have the old 357 tuned in for it. Should be a fun hunt.

I've been lurking on the forum for about a month, and have gained a great deal of knowledge from many of the posts. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Ken

How's it going? I am a strong advocate and defender of the second amendment. I beleive in a persons right to defend themselves under any situation. i beleive in being prepared for anything that comes along.
I have a small variety of pistols and rifles. I have my CCW and carry when ever out of the house. I don't have a particular favorite weapon or type. I think variety is the spice of life. I have total of seven different weapons. The last of which that I aquired was a Marlin 336 in 30-30. Haven't shot it much, but so far I am a fan.
I am teaching my kids proper gun safety and how to use the variety that I have. My kids will be well prepared to defend themselves and others if need be.
I am a friend to any gun enthusiest, and open for conversation. I look to keep my collection growing as long as I can. You can never have too many guns. CAN I GET AN AMEN?!!!!!!!

The FNG

Hey all,

I'm new. I have been in the active Army for 3 1/2 years. I am in the middle of my first deployment, and am excited to get friggin home. 6 more months! I know diddly squat about handguns, and thats why I am here. You throw a rifle in my hands, I'm good. I just am seeking knowledge about handguns and such. Thanks for having me!

Hey Everyone

I'm new to this site as well as guns in general. I'm hoping to fix up two older rifles that I acquired from my father. That's my mission for now, then hopefully i will be able to get over to my local shooting range to start a hobbie that I have always been interested in, but never quite gave much attention.
I've been searching around the site looking for information and decided that I might as well make an account, so I could post questions.
I am looking forward to learning a lot from this community.

Hi to everybody on this forum, I am Sohail Ahmed from Pakistan, I have slf small business, I own a .30 caliber Zastava M57 handgun, In Pakistani law there is 2 kinds of fire arms licences, one called NPB ( Non prohibited bore) in this cateogory falls only handguns, Shotguns and riffles upto .22 caliber, the other riffles falls under PB (prohibited bore), And to get a PB's licence from interior ministry is not easy, Which covers semi auto and full auto guns and big calibers than .22,
I hope I will get good information from this forum

Yo

Hello from Oregon. I've been reading posts on her for a couple years on and off. I am mostly interested in handguns and shotguns. I had a subscription to handguns magazine when I was in the 8th grade. I'm a youngish family man. The third son is on his way. So, I'm also interested in the less expensive firearms. I know there are a million 1911 fans out there, but I can buy 2-3 decent guns for the price of a solid 1911. Needless to say, I don't have one.... yet. :)
