Question asked and answered, but I'll add that when adjusting any set of irons, here's a helpful phrase: "Use the F.O.R.S." Front sight opposite. Rear the same. IOW, move the front sight in the opposite direction you want POI to go. Move the rear sight in the same direction.

CTGunner, absolutely. You'd be very welcome at an Appleseed. We've had everyone from complete newbies (as in having never shot a firearm before) to designated marksmen and everyone in between, all on the same line.

I carry my LCP in a Meco back pocket holster. It's well-made, draws quick, and doesn't print at all - just looks like a wallet in my back pocket. Highly recommended. A pic off their website. It comes in black and mahogany as well:

I have an HK45c that I carry, but that's not going to help you much if your USP compact's been giving you some troubles. Like others have mentioned, I'd recommend a slim and trim 1911, perhaps in a commander size or a CCO.

Good question, dd. As you can imagine, 500-yard ranges are few and far between in some parts (not all, but some) of the country, including CT. Because of this, we simulate longer ranges by scaling down targets at 25 meters (82 feet). Why 25 meters? Because that means we can have Appleseeds even...
