Educate me on the Astra Constable

Seems like a pin running through the left side of the frame into the sear was loose and causing the problem with the safety. I secured it and no more problems so far.

Educate me on the Astra Constable

KJack, That was some good info, thanks. My grips are still functional, I just don't like the thumb swell on the left grip. I think if I could find one that mirrors the right it would be a pretty good pocket carry. This one has no visible means of windage adjustment on the rear sight.

Educate me on the Astra Constable

I just picked this up as part of a trade. Why? I don't know, I guess it appealed to the walther ppk fan inside me. It's not walther sure, but the fit and finish isn't bad and it's pretty accurate with the wallyworld target loads I picked up. However, the decocker does not always work (it...

    Comments on USN dive knife

Standard issue dive knife. They are handy blades, but not collectors items for the most part. You have in a nice working knife. Could use it as a basis for a military issue collection. Ontario has the contract now (last I heard).

Why $200 for a folding knife?

Just get what works for you, whether it cost $10 or $500. There is no wrong or right answer. 99.5% of the knives owned by people reading this thread will never face a more perilious task than opening a tough bag of snacks or cutting through some packaging tape.

    Ruger Mark II help :(

Anyone know how to put a sear spring in?. We have a rental Mark II at the range and I need to get the sear spring in that was handed back to me by a rentee (along with a few other misc. pieces). Anyone have any idea where I can find a pic of it properly seated? Thanks in advance. Dan

CCW Friend killed by knife wielder

Sorry to hear about the loss I.B. I'd say there are at least a few factors to consider from this story: 1) As others have more or less said, a knife in close combat is very dangerous. It can in fact be argued that it is more effective than a handgun in up close and personal combat due to...

    Colt Rumor going around

I called them yesterday. The m4 le/mil's that are already out there in the distribution pipeline are ok to sell to whoever. The new productions are supposedly all going to fulfill LE/Mil contractual obligations first. The rep I talked to at Colt wouldn't say what will happen after those...

Police use doorknob swabs to detect guns, drugs in homes

Exactly LAK. Here a posted sign has the same legal effect as a verbal warning as well. "Tennessee Code Annotated section 39-14-405 states that a person commits criminal trespass who "knowing he does not have the owner’s effective consent to do so, enters or remains on property, or a portion...
