Juvenile Record Prohibitions Under New BSCA Law?

I see what you're thinking (I think), but the part about misdemeanor crimes of domestic violence doesn't apply. The part that worries me is: "SEC. 12001. JUVENILE RECORDS. (a) Improving NICS Examination of Juvenile Records.-- (1) In general.--Section 922 of title 18, United...

Juvenile Record Prohibitions Under New BSCA Law?

I am not a lawyer, but I am a worry wart, and the new "bipartisan safer communities act" has me thinking... Lets say at 17 yo, you were adjudicated delinquent of doing something which would be a felony as an adult. Non-violent, no jail, just youthful stupid. Then around age.. oh 35 you get into...

    Is this normal wear?

Hey guys, Attached is a pic of my Glock 19 gen4 showing the breech face and part of the slide. I'm very new to Glocks and wondering if the wear I'm seeing here is typical or potentially problematic. I've been shooting only WWB 9mm through it. It may be fine, but since I'm not sure I thought...

How "clean" is typical for a breechface on a used pistol?

As requested here's the pics he sent me tonight. They look better now than I recall. Maybe he cleaned it lol Anyway, what you all think?

How "clean" is typical for a breechface on a used pistol?

It's a Springfield XDM full-size in 9mm. I will see if I can get a picture this evening and upload. The function check seemed to work well. We did not live-fire, but snapcaps move through just fine, so I'm not thinking there's any feed or ejection issues.

How "clean" is typical for a breechface on a used pistol?

Bit of a newbie question (from a bit of a newbie), but how "clean" looking is the breachface on a pistol that has had say, 1000-2000 rounds through it? Is it gonna look brand new, or is it normal to have some scratches/lines and a ring where the round would sit? For a gun with that many...

    Worry about a stored gun?

Question inspired by a co-worker. Let's say you have a pistol that's been in your safe, untouched for a year. Do you ever worry about anything when you bring it out to take it to the range? Other than a quick clean/lube, do you do anything special?

Starting Archery - Recurve or Compound

That's all really good information. What about cost? How much should I plan to lay out in either direction?

    Adding rails to AR15

As this was my first AR, I decided to start out learning with iron sights. Now, I'm thinking about removing the carry handle to place an optic and backup rear "iron" site on there. In the front, I really want another grip and possibly a light.

Starting Archery - Recurve or Compound

Thinking of taking up Archery... Should I start with a recurve or go straight to compound? Anyone with pros/cons?

    Adding rails to AR15

I hadn't thought about that. Is that a significant problem? Do handguard replacements like the magpul or the other one just snap on once the other one comes off via the d-ring?

    Adding rails to AR15

I was hoping to not change the handguard, just add rails to the one I have, so the first option (the primary arms rail) may be a good one. How do they attach?

    Adding rails to AR15

I have a Colt 6920 with the standard 6" M4 style handguard. I am looking to add accessory rails, and I've heard that there are rails that will bolt onto the top and bottom of the handguard where the holes are. Can anyone recommend where to find these rails? I'm a bit new to the "lego" aspect...

How did you get started with longer ranges?

Hey guys, I'm a new guy to shooting. Started out pistols and then got an AR-15 and learned on iron sights at short-ish distances. Now I'm insterested in getting started with glass and some longer distances. So, I'm kinda curious how other people got started at longer range shooting and/or any...

    Clean AR after it sits?

Quick and basic question. If you have an AR-15 that had been cleaned/oiled and then not used - just sat in a safe- for say a month or two or three, would you feel the need to re-oil it before shooting it, or would that be a waste of time? Thank you kindly.

    Can't decide...

Don't you just hate it when two different firearms are calling your name from the gunstore, but you can only purchase one? I can never decide. Right now there's a PS90 and a Springfield TRP that I'm looking at buying but just seem to make up my own mind. The buy behind the counter is also...

    Considering a PS90

I was actually referring to the performance of the sight. Does it work well in bright light, low light, regular light, etc.. But the other points you raise are all excellent. This would be a plinking/home defense use most likely.

    Considering a PS90

The sights I saw on this one were, I think, 2nd gen.. "T" style, not ring. Would like to hear more about how they perform in general.

    Considering a PS90

Hey, At my friendly local gun shop this week, the gentleperson behind the counter showed me a (black of course) PS90 with the factory sight installed. Seemed light and interesting and like it could be a fun addition to the safe, so I'm doing some research on it, and thought I'd solicit the...

    Where to purchase swords?

Hi. I'm trying to figure out where I can purchase swords that are NOT of the replica/fantasy/video-game variety. I don't want a fragile showpiece that can't be sharpened. I want at least decent quality live blades (or blades that could be live even if they're not sharpened when bought)...
