Compact 1911 such as a Kimber or Glock Model 36. Thoughts? Comments?

Any ideas when and If S&W will come out with a 1911 Officer's Model (Scandium frame would be nice)? If not, what would you reccommend? Kimber? Can't really afford a wilson. The new Glock 36 catches my eye though I must admit I'm ashamed to admit it.

I noticed Taurus is going to put out a Single Action Revolver. This company just seems unstopable. How long before they make 1911s? I for one like Taurus, I've had several good guns from them and they seem to offer for less what so many charge extra for.

I notice that chambering the same round often causes Set Back on most .45s I've had. I've never noticed it in other calibers. I'm assuming from what I've read that some ammo is worse to set back than others. Can someone reccomend a Defensive Carry Ammo that is less prone to set back? Thanks.

Speed Strips.. How do speed strips work?

Yeah... I put it in my pocket and it was smaller and seemingly lighter than my Bersa .380. 5 rounds of .357 in such a small package seems a nice alternative to 7 rounds of .380. The gun felt good in my hand. That's something too. :D Thanks for the information.

I just went to chamber a round in my 1911 and not for the first time did it compress the bullet. I knew something wasn't right so I removed the magazine and ejected the round and sure enough, the end was pushed in. What does this?

For cheap and good I'd suggest The Bersa/Firestorm Thunder 9mm or .40 S&W, or, .45acp if affordable. I've owned several Bersa/Firestorms and I love them.

On the sig gunsight, I believe the sig 232 blue and stainless models are listed as having the same weight or little difference. My local gun salesman says the stainless model is much much heavier, as heavy as a Walther. Anyone know for a fact the difference in weight? Thanks.
