I know this is probably a dumb question, but I had a permit to purchase about 2 years ago, and want to get another to purchase a new revolver. I was wondering if because I had one in the past I check the renew box, or because it expired do I choose new. I'm from MN, not sure if that makes a...
Thanks for all the advice, I think I'm going to talk to my local gunsmith about fitting a new hammer and possibly beaver tail on it. Some people are still commenting on collectors value, they must have missed my post about how the previous owner already destroyed any collector value left in it...
I know how the whole collectors value thing works, thats how I ended up with this gun! The previous owner swapped out what appears to be everything original. I have a nice 3 dot sight, a worthless group-gripper, an a1 style mainspring housing, a short trigger. And its been re blued which...
So I've been dealing with hammer bite for awhile now and tried to get a new grip safety, but it didn't fit right. I have an older firearm, made in 1916. I think I remember hearing something that it might have a different angle in the grip safety. So I was wondering if anyone knew of a hammer...
I just remembered Jeff from gunblast is left handed, so I just looked up his video, and of coarse he has one with it. He overlaps his thumbs a bit, but it looks like I should be okay. Next time I'm in the shop I'll just have to pick one up for myself, I have held one before just never really...
I'm looking for something inexpensive to practice with. I've been thinking about the 22/45 for awhile, because of the grip angle, and my handgun I enjoy to shoot the most is a 1911.
I shoot thumbs forward, and have had no problems with any semi-autos, but the 22/45 looks like the ejection...
Currently in Mankato going to school, From a small town in Goodhue county though, only county in MN with no lake. Well we do have half a lake, but its just a damed river.
I was looking into a auto 22 pistol (I have a single six, but wanted something a bit faster). I was thinking about the ruger 22/45, but It would be cheaper to put this conversion on my 1911, and I mainly want it for practice for my 1911 anyway.
I've read a few reviews on it, and it seems to...
I saw a few pictures and videos of these little cannons, and became interested. For how inexpensive the 91/30 is, I want to pick up another one and convert it to a pistol. One video I watched, the guy said he has it registered as an SBR, but if you take off the stock, would it be possible to...
I've no first hand experience, but from what I've herd the quality control used to be really bad there, but in recent years has got a lot better. So you should be okay.

I thought I'd share this link, its the only video I found of it, and thought others might be interested.
Enjoy :)
Your smile seemed to get bigger after every one! Where I'm from you would have made $60 from our township's bounty.
Edit: sorry I'm half asleep, didn't notice it was you and your buddy. Good thing I reread it.
I was looking at one of those last week at the local shop, that just seem's painful haha. I feel like the first shot would mess up your grip, and your follow up shots would be harder. It does look tempting though! If you get one, let us know how it shoots.
Anything I can fill with water and food coloring. Coffee containers are pretty good. Normally I shoot at cardboard boxes though, with computer paper and a drawn on dot. I'm going to make some targets tomorrow with Shepard hooks and some scrap metal.
I read awhile back that the .357 HPs will not expand properly out of a shorter barrel. Is that a problem for the true snubbies only (or a myth completely), or is my 3" better off using .38 +p? I reload my own ammo, but I've herd not to use reloads for defense because it "looks bad".
I've...
Well if you want to be quiet, you don't want to break the sound barrier, so using sub-sonic ammunition the velocity decrease would decrease your power and range.
