Yeah it would seem there's a lot of gray area in regards to this subject currently. Not everyone has a 3D printer in their home... yet. Once the technology matures I'm sure politicians won't hesitate to legislate the hell out of what can be done on these.
Cool stuff though.
I was wondering if anyone has any insight into my question:
If you are legally able to create firearms for your own use, if you are using a 3D printer at what point is it considered created by you?
Does it begin at the file creation, when you click the print button, when you clean up the...
I doubt it's any more of a fire hazard than anything else you would put in your attic. Maybe if you wrap them up in trash bags and seal the gaps with duct tape you can keep the bugs out.
Fox News may want to get a fact checker because I was unaware of this new Glock 27 in 5.7. Guess FN needed some competition

All excellent points. Thanks for the explanations.
I just ordered an Aimpoint PRO and it just kinda made me wonder why they are mostly always 'red dots'.
On that note, does the Aimpoint use and LED or a laser as some have mentioned? Is it just EOTech that uses a laser?
The point of...
Just curious as to why Aimpoint and EOTech optics are always 'red dots'. For comparison if a green laser is much more visible compared to a red laser based on the way our eyes perceive color, why don't they have Green Dots sights?
I know there's some cheap red dots that allow you to change...
I'm assuming you're shooting brass cased ammo? Pretty much beating a dead horse when it comes to saying don't use aluminum cased ammo in a Sub2000 but figured I remove that variable from the equation.
Yes it's an Elite, though I don't think the barrels are different based upon that.
I thought that may be the fact too that it could be just a different model barrel because there's nothing on the packaging or barrel itself that designates it as a P226.
wgsigs, thanks for that link. That helped to shed some light on the situation.
Sadly, I still have to return it since it does not fit my slide properly. It doesn't sit properly and won't lock up so if I try to put the slide back on it only goes like 80% of the way.:banghead:
Do all genuine SigSauer barrels have the SigSauer stamping on them? More specifically P226 barrels. I bought a .40 S&W barrel and it doesn't fit my slide.
The only thing that is stamped is .40 S&W SIG on my new barrel, where as my factory barrel has .357sig on one side and SigSauer and DE...
That's what I imagined too. Was just wondering if anyone had ever heard of a company getting upset about another company using their mags. Since Glock mags are so abundant and relatively cheap, compared to other magazines, I'd love to see more companies make firearms that are compatible.
I was wondering, for guns that use other manufacturers magazines (e.g. Keltec Sub2000 or the Kriss) do they have to pay a license to use the magazines or is it fair game that Glock magazines just happen to work in their firearms?
Do you think it would be discouraged for copyright infringment...
I have a Glock 17 Gen4 that I'm having lots trouble with extraction. I doesn't fully extract the spent brass so it block the chamber from fully closing with the next round. When it does extract it likes to shoot brass back in my face. Fun stuff.
I've tried multiple brands of ammo with...
