My Sub2000 has less than 500 rds thru it, and I have experienced several failures to eject, all on the final round of the magazine. Sometimes the failures are stove pipe in nature, and other times the case is jammed against the breech at some random angle. It has happened with at least 4 different factory Glock mags, both 17 rd and 33 rd, and with multiple types of ammo (all 115 gr FMJ). I'm fairly certain it's not a mag or ammo issue.

Any ideas on what the problem is? I guess if it's going to happen at all, the last round in the mag is best, but obviously still not ideal.

Have you taken the bolt out and inspected it? I'd look for burrs near where it passes the follower on an empty mag.

If you have cases that were ejected from the sub2K, check them for gouges and other unexpected marks.

Try heavier and +p ammo to see what happens then. I'm assuming that if you load two rounds in a magazine, you can get the FTE on the last round. Check that too if you haven't. More data helps troubleshooting.

Check your extractor, you may be operating in pure blowback mode for all of the rounds.

I'm assuming you're shooting brass cased ammo? Pretty much beating a dead horse when it comes to saying don't use aluminum cased ammo in a Sub2000 but figured I remove that variable from the equation.

+1 on sending back to Kel-Tec, they have excellent customer service!
You might also want to check KTOG forum.
