Recieved my newest J frame I had a 442 that I really liked, but sold it to move on to something else. Big mistake. I recently saw a great sale on the 642 at a gun shop, and got it for well under $400. It's great having another J frame Smith.

Not a single revolver. I would have thought maybe the S&W 642/442s would have made the list with no-locks going for $361...(I bought one!)

A good price, for sure. If the lock really bothers you (as it did me), I bought a 442 no-lock from Bud's for $361, no shipping, no sales tax, and my FFL only charges 20 bucks. A pretty decent deal, I thought...and I don't have to look at that stupid hole for the next few decades.

I know one Chicago cop, that still carries a 6 shot S&W model 10. Doesn't know how to (or care to) use the computer in his squad car, either.
