Is this VIP Club thing new? They had some police trade-in .38s for $269. They sold out before I got a chance to get one. Well now, they have a new shipment in, same price, but "reserved for VIP members only". So now, you have to spend $25 a year (or $17 a year if "automatically renewed" each year). I don't think you had to spend 25 bucks before you could buy one in the previous batch. Then, I saw a a sale on .38 ammo...not a bad price...clicked on it and "for VIP members only". What the hell?

Just a guess, but they're trying to generate cash flow in a tough economy and also trying to reward frequent shoppers. Affinity programs are common but paying for them varies by retailer.

You'd already be ahead of the game as we speak....if only you had joined their little club. Which, btw, I'm gonna do right now.

Thanx for the tip......:D

I can't disagree, and I'm all for making money in a bad economy. But great prices, free shipping and customer service is what put Bud's on the gun buyers radar. As Lucille Ball said regarding her sitcoms <removed by moderator>
