I see a lot of folks talking about 25-27 grains of Varget for 55 gr bullets. The Hornady manual I have shows from 22.8 to a max of 26.4. Is it even worth working up a load with less than say 24 grains? Will 22.8 have cycling problems? Be too slow for 200 yards? I'm getting ready to work...

We got a 10/22 and love it so much we got another one. One is basically stock except for Tech Sights and the other one has tons of aftermarket parts. I think it is this flexibility and the fact that it is still a great rifle that makes the 10/22 a great choice.

Something with an adjustable objective or AO is really nice. This lets the scope be used at close ranges like 25 yards without skewing the image due to parallax.

Right. The TSA says they can be in the same container but each airline can have their own policy. Also you'll need those TSA approved "burly" padlocks. Very nice job on the case though. I like it for even if you're not flying.
