I feel the same way I originally bought a Glock 26 for carry but it was too bulky for the clothes I wear, I have the p238 also and it is much easier to conceal.

The worst pistol I have ever shot was a Walther P99 QA, This gun made a very clanky (for lack of a better word) sound to it when it was being fired and was not very accurate, I sold it and got a Sig p226 and never looked back.

I have a ccw and they do a background check every time I purchase a new firearm, I never really even question why they do it because like others have stated just because you have the permit in hand doesn't mean it hasn't been revoked. I just like I don't have to wait to take the new purchase...
