How much free brass is enough to share

I use .45 ACP, .308, and 7.62x39 primarily. Also have dies, but haven't loaded any 9mm. I have a few hundred rounds of .223 mostly military all cleaned, but needs to be gone through CARFULLY, I found some of what I believe are case seperations. But it could have been me being new and over...

Best source for pulled .308 bullets?

$55.00 per 1000, where's that at? The best price I've seen is around $65 per thousand.

    first 45 acp loads

She is, she goes with me every weekend. But to her, I could spend $50 every weekend and she wouldn't notice. But if I buy $400 or $500 worth of components, she notices that comming out of the account. But when I buy that much, I don't buy ammo for a year or more.

    first 45 acp loads

Greentop is on the other side of Richmond from me. This was Bob Moats gun shop, they tell me and show me the specifics of loading. Then we sit around and bad mouth Bloomberg. Moats gun shop was one of the places caught in the "sting" I will eventually start using cast bullets, but figure...

    first 45 acp loads

20 pounds of powder, 2k primers, total of 2k bullets, and 45 acp die set. I paid more for the dies than I've seen online, but the store that sold it walked me through pistol loading. Their help is worth the extra price I pay for equipment. I think I paid $50 for the RCBS 3 die kit.

    first 45 acp loads

I just ordered some of Berry's 230 gr RN. At a little over $.10 per round, it should put a complete load around$.14. I get all the brass I could ever want for free, so I have no cost in the brass. This will be the last bulk I will be buying for a little while, just got 20 pounds of rifle...

My very first reloaded round: 7.62x54R =)

LOL,,,, I just had that same feeling a little while ago. My first attempt at pistol ammo. Don't have that pucker factor with rifles anymore. You'll probably be like I am now, I can't wait to go shoot,, so I can load more ammo.

    first 45 acp loads

Just tried my first 45 loads. Got a 1.5" group with 10 rounds at 15 yds. All rounds were touching, so I'm sure it was me doing the moving. I am really impressed, now if I can find a cheaper way of loading these. With the initial price of bullets, powder, and primers these loads cost as much...

Ever had to put your hand on your gun "for real"?...

I believe he(Officer) meant while his(thug) hands were under the dash level from my sight. Not after thug backed out of the car.

Ever had to put your hand on your gun "for real"?...

Couldn't be more correct. Once I actually had to draw. Last halloween, I was at a defensive pistol competition at my local range. Went outside to smoke. One wanna-be thug was leaning against a pole in the parking lot, and another came walking around the corner and stopped and turned around...

Should have never started to reload.....

Oh nice to see I'm not the only one. Have dies for a caliber that I don't have a weapon. So, what do we do? Sell the dies? Right,,,, I look for a rifle so I can work loads for that caliber also. Wait,, I've got 2 like that... So who has a 243 and a 223 rifle to sell cheap?

    Tell me about your S&W1911PD!

I really liked mine, had a problem with the sear spring. I think I bent it, not the weapon's fault. But the one I had, would not work with the cheap McCormick mags I had. The pointed part of the follower would dig a groove into the frame just below the feed ramp. Once I figured that out, the...

Is one supposed to be able to reach the slide lock on a 1911?

I can't reach it on any 1911 I've had either. I've just gotten into the habit of slingshotting the slide anytime I fire 1911's. But I have small hands anyway, and I don't know if an extended would even work for me.

What would you tell a new G26 owner?

Cheeseybacon, no they only come with 2 mags. At least all the ones I've seen pass through my dealer. If I had one thing I would do if I had to do it over. Get the 27, then if you want to shoot 9mm you just replace the barrel. With the 27 you can also drop in a 357 Sig barrel and shoot...

What would you tell a new G26 owner?

To the best of my knowledge, all Glock mags are interchangeable. Just have to get the extensions to fill the gap. The 33 rd G18 mags will fit in the 26, just doesn't look "right".

What would you tell a new G26 owner?

Remember to duck when it reminds you the mag is empty. My 26 likes to send the last one in the mag right back at my forehead. My 27 has never done this, just the 26. I won't tell you to do this, because my 26 is a range weapon only, but it usually goes well over 1,000 rds before cleaning...
