I live in Alabama and I'm going to be on vacation up in Tenn. for the next few days. If I were to find a gun at a pawn shop, gun store, or gun show.. would I be able to buy it and bring it home to Alabama or would I have to have it transferred to my FFL here in AL?

I went and renewed my Alabama handgun liscense today. When I got home I noticed on the back of the liscence it has some "rules" listed. Right there in the #1 position is states "This pistol permit does not permit you to carrry a gun openly"
