Well, I have a 1851 ordered from Cabelas. $169.99 shipped. It's a brass frame piece. Comes with a extra cylinder. So I'm going to swap the grips and keep the extra cylinder too. Then I'll sale the put together one.
Thanks for the input guys
:D
OK, guys. I just picked up a Pietta 1860 snub nose. This is a older gun with a full size grip frame and grip.
So the question is: Can I change it to a birds head grip? I can get the backstap and grip for the 1873 from Pietta from a couple of places. Is it interchangeable?
Any and all...
The Short ROA
I would love to know some more details of that ROA.
Like which grip you used? Barrel length? How is the loading lever retained? and any other info.
Cause I have a stainless 7 1/2 that I would love to do that to. It would look great with my stainless 5 1/2" fixed sight.
Thanks
I have a 1851 with a 3" barrel, a 1860 with a 7 1/2 barrel. Also I have 2 ROA, 1 5 1/2 and 1 71/2. The Colts do feel nice, but i love my ROA's. If you want to get rid of the Ruger, let me know. ;)
Number 82!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been waiting for a long time for the 82nd spot. 82ND Airborne all the way. Here's a picture of my 5 1/2 fixed stainless. I also have a 7 1/2 adjustable stainless too.

Here's one. These are not mine. I've been looking at it, but I already have a 51/2 fixed sight one. And I'm not a member yet, I'm holding out for #82.
