Duty to Inform the LEO if Carrying on Official Contact

In Oregon we’re (currently) not required to advise. But, I talked to a leo, who said to just provide the CHL with the drivers license when asked. He said he’d ask where it was, then proceed with why he stopped you. But I know some officers who are far more “authoritarian”. As stated: YMMV..

    Favorite powder for a 9mm 124gr bullet?

BE-86 for overall, Sport Pistol for low recoil plinking, and Blue Dot for SD loads. And I've settled on RMR's 124 JHP MPR.

Is 40 S&W dead or not?

There you go! Or a 165gr MPR. Love those!

Is 40 S&W dead or not?

No guarantees on .40 range brass you pick up though. No telling how many times the bulge has been pressed out of it. Best to leave them where you see them so guys like me can dispose of them. :D

Best Glock for Range use and Occasional Carry ?

Okay, Wobbly, which one did he go with? Curious minds want to know. :)

Best Glock for Range use and Occasional Carry ?

Especially if he could be using it in action pistol in the future. A G19 is easier to conceal, though. And I personally think the Gen 5 triggers are the best yet in a Glock.

    Relocation with shooting in mind...

Yeah, thanks for all of that. You could put it on some form of social media to get it out to more people, I bet.

    Relocation with shooting in mind...

10 to 15 degrees below zero with 15 to 25 mph winds and the temps feel like -40! STRONG religious influence, and social rejection towards anyone wearing a belt without a western buckle, dry as the Sahara desert with hot winds in the summer. It is indeed a horrible place to live.

    Scottish Dirk

Check out Vince Evans work. His wife used to do the wood carving and he did the metal work. He's a maker with a very solid reputation. http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/listing/user/vevans

Anyone use CFE Pistol for their 9mm loads?

I dug out some notes and my best group (3 rounds at .512" with 2 flyers [low left!!])was with 5.0 gr CFE-P pushing RMR 115gr FMJ's using Speer cases and CCI 500 primers. I seated them to 1.147-1.150" OAL and crimped at .3775. I didn't chrono these as I was playing with the 115gr bullets...

As mentioned earlier, Competition Electronics has great customer service. Or so I hear.

    Chronograph question

Me neither. I chrono'd a paper clip shot through my pro chrono at about 7 feet once using a standard rubber band as a sling shot. Recorded 192 fps and I think I could have bumped it up with a stronger rubber band. :) Unit worked perfectly.
