Hot .45 Colt loads out of moonclip-capable revolver?

I'm not worried about the ACP bulging as it's fully supported. I'm worried about magnum-load 45 colts bulging without the support.

Hot .45 Colt loads out of moonclip-capable revolver?

So, I'm interested in picking up the new Redhawk 45 colt/45 acp but I wonder about the lack of support around the part of the rim on heavy colt loads where the cylinder is relieved for moonclips. It reminds me of the "not-fully supported" chambers in glocks. Has anybody seen any issues come from...

    Mohegan pistols re-visited

First, welcome to the High Road! As far as your question is concerned, I'm not sure exactly what it is that you are asking, and what sort of guidance you are hoping to get?

.327 Federal Magnum vs Body Armor, Tokarev comparison

My main thing about this, which is why I tried to steer the conversation away from the post about what types of armor most officers wear, is purely entertainment. Because I like guns. I like shooting. It is cool to me that (as has been pointed out above) the Tok has earned an almost "mythical"...

.327 Federal Magnum vs Body Armor, Tokarev comparison

Rule: Well, theoretically (which I didn't want to get into, being more interested in the empirical)... The style of bullet, sectional density, velocity, *and* caliber all combine to make a caliber an effective penetrator. As far as who cares... I care. That's why I asked. Who really cares...

    Ordered two K31's today

Yeah, I've been eyeballing them for a long while, and when AIM got their last shipment in talking about how nice this shipment in particular was (and I haven't known AIM to be unreliable) I ordered a his-and-her set in walnut for myself and the wife, and it looks like ours were two of the last...

.327 Federal Magnum vs Body Armor, Tokarev comparison

It is of no consequence to me which style of body armor policemen wear, as that is *not* the direction in which I wanted/want this thread to go. It's more of an academic question, but with practical applications. Ugaarguy, those figures are kind of what led me to this thought in thecfield...

.327 Federal Magnum vs Body Armor, Tokarev comparison

I have searched the internet extensively and have not found the answer to this question. The 7.62x25 Tokarev is well-known for penetrating body armor. Reputable gun review sites have confirmed and demonstrated this fact. Then along comes the .327 Federal Magnum. While not particularly...

A comparison from the Glock 30 to the 30 S

I have never shot the 30S, but I have owned the 36 for 4 or 5 years now, and it is an amazing pistol. It shoots better than my XDs, though it is not nearly as comfortable to carry. It's a clunker, but I love the little piggy.

    Glock magazine conversion?

The reason being, I bought the xds because I typically carry a spare magazine with me when I carry. The xds uses a true single stack magazine, so carrying extras is easy. But, I shoot my glock 36 better. The glock mags are so bulky, though, they might as well be a double stack. If I could get...

    Glock magazine conversion?

Long story short, is it possible to convert a glock 36 to use XDs magazines?

    Custom Project FINISHED

Very, very nice. The Royal Blue is the best-looking firearm finish that ever was, outside of color case hardening.

Which holster material generates the least wear?

I prefer leather for iwb, but hae been looking at hybrids as of late... that silent thunder holster looks nice! For owb, I prefer kydex for the rigidity. As for the OP: basically, I can only echo what others have said. The leather holds grit and grime more and rubs throughout the firearm, but...
