    Brass Bullet Remover Rod??

Strange because this is the second best black powder forum I know of, but the best one overall, especially when I start talking about conicals and bullets, or the dreaded Triple 7 powder 😆 Maybe BP has been put on their back burners too. I even quit brewing beer for a good bit, but am waiting...

    Brass Bullet Remover Rod??

Yeah, I highly doubt I’ll need it, and if I do once or twice maybe, but who knows? Yes, I’ve been mostly vacant for over 9 years now. We had moved from San Antonio to a little town outside of Austin. There aren’t any outdoor ranges nearby and had to drive over an hour one way to another small...

    Brass Bullet Remover Rod??

I do not have a tap and die set. The shorter brass rods I found come in a variety of sizes and would use the largest. I honestly doubt I will need this brass rod much. I intend to work my up slowly, but you just never know. I’ve calculated 1/16” for gas cutting space, 1/16” for an optional...

    Brass Bullet Remover Rod??

I found some small diameter brass rods that weren’t over a foot long. Thanks for the replies fellas!

    Brass Bullet Remover Rod??

Curious, was there a reason not to shoot them out? I’ve found that method to be efficient, easy, and fun 😆

    Pietta Remington 1858 Lever Pin

So I googled this and can’t seem to find a video. I believe I follow what needs to be done, but the way in which one would do this. My tool would need to be harder than this, such as what?

    Brass Bullet Remover Rod??

Once I had overloaded my Ruger and had to remove the nipple and use a nail to hammer out the bullet. Not a good thing to use. Does anyone know of a brass rod I could use for this purpose? I’m about to begin working on my Ruger and Remington NMAs universal bullet mold design. I have a more...

    Pietta Remington 1858 Lever Pin

In the past 9 or so years I finally went back to the range. What I found was that the little pin that holds the loading lever to the connecting piece for the plunger keeps falling out. Part #27 on EMF’s site. My guess is that this little pin was inserted and then the ends (lack of a better...

    Hatsan .25 cal @ 700 FPS

I have too many hobbies that are each demanding of the fun money funding so dropping that many coins on a pellet rifle is a bit much for me.

    Hatsan .25 cal @ 700 FPS

So should I expect the scopes sold with the Hatsan gas piston rifles to degrade rather quickly? I’ve read that these air rifles are much like muzzleloaders that can be much like that. Strange that both of my percussion revolvers shoot everything I’ve fed them equally well once I found their...

    Hatsan .25 cal @ 700 FPS

I don’t claim to know a whole lot about air rifles, but it seems the consensus is a gas piston is much better and lasts longer. The Hatsans I’ve looked at mostly seem to claim to have some sort of recoil absorbing component. Not sure how well they work with the scopes they provide. I assume...

    Hatsan .25 cal @ 700 FPS

That’s the one reason I was contemplating a .25, a nice close out deal. I lean more towards the .22 because the pellets are much cheaper and there’s a whole plethora of pellet (lead) options. I like the idea of something powerful enough to handle pests like raccoons and possums but see these...

    Hatsan .25 cal @ 700 FPS

Side lever? I am ignorant to what this is. As a child in the 80’s I grew up with a Crosman pump, but then in the 2000’s my old boss bought a refurbished .22 Chinese springer after having used a .177 version and noted how the grackles sure did topple with authority. Anyhow, we’d shoot his along...

    Hatsan .25 cal @ 700 FPS

The models I'm looking at show 800 fps max with a lead .22 pellet with 21 ft/lbs vs 700 fps max with a lead .25 pellet with 24 ft/lbs. Looking up their lead pellets it shows the .22 Vortex Strike as 17.75 grns and the .25 as 24.7 grns. Comparing the .22 and .25 at the same velocity isn’t an...

    Hatsan .25 cal @ 700 FPS

I actually really prefer the idea of a simple break-open design. I’d much prefer to have the heavier powered stuff but not at a 10 lb rifle so this will do I suppose.

    Hatsan .25 cal @ 700 FPS

I’ve seen how with some air rifles aftermarket parts can improve the performance. Might there be something that can be done with the Hatsan gas piston system?

    Hatsan .25 cal @ 700 FPS

I’ve been looking over the Hatsan rifles that weigh a more normal weight (6-7 lbs) and seeing the low velocities for lead pellets I’ve wondered if the .25 cal, though claims to hit a little harder, isn’t an extremely short range caliber and not worth considering over the .22 cal for small game...
