I was not aware how easily the lock can be removed. That opens up a lot more options. I really like the 686 plus, other than the stainless finish. Does anyone know if a stainless gun can be refinished with a black finish?

ARs are definitely more accurate, but my Arsenal AK is more than accurate enough for combat use within a couple hundred yards, which is what these rifles were designed for. They are not target rifles.

Isn't it nice how the elite get to travel everywhere in armored vehicles with multiple machine gun toting bodyguards, but in many of the areas they go, us common serfs are legally prohibited from carrying a 5 shot revolver for self defense?

They are not precision rifles, but are more than accurate enough for combat use at realistic distances.

The UPS Store won't even ship gun parts. I tried to ship some magazines through them once and they made me take them to the hub. It's too bad our out of control government has made shipping handguns such a huge hassle... there's no reason we shouldn't be able to put them in a box and ship them...

Well I boxed it up & went to the post office, the clerk didn't even ask what was in the box and I didn't bring it up. Mission accomplished :)

Thanks guys, I didn't know that I didn't have to tell them what's in the box. Do they ask what it is if you're insuring it? If so can I give a vague answer like "machine parts", or should I just tell them it's a rifle?

I'd rather not carry a gun that I haven't fired. It could be defective from the factory. I'd rather find that out at the range than when bullets are flying at me or someone is bearing down on me with a knife.

If they don't want to have firearms available then they shouldn't buy any, and shut up about it. Even if 99.9% of the population thinks guns should be outlawed and votes accordingly, no one has the right to disarm me, regardless of what authority they claim or uniform they're wearing.
