Shipping high capacity magazines FROM ban states?

Here's an odd one: I live in Northern Virginia and work in Maryland. I sold some 30 round mags online and need to ship to the buyer who lives in a non-ban state. There is a post office right by my office building in MD. I am usually stuck in horrible bumper to bumper traffic at the times the...

Please help me choose a revolver

I was not aware how easily the lock can be removed. That opens up a lot more options. I really like the 686 plus, other than the stainless finish. Does anyone know if a stainless gun can be refinished with a black finish?

Please help me choose a revolver

Alright, if I accept the lock, does that change much? I guess I can always remove it. The S&W website is very confusing and I don't see many blued or black finished 8 round revolvers on there other than the TRR8, but I'm not into the tacticool look.

Please help me choose a revolver

I am looking to purchase a .357/.38 revolver. Nothing fancy; just a solid, all-around workhorse. My father has a Ruger GP100 4" and I like it a lot, but figured I may as well explore other options. 7 or 8 shots instead of 6 would be nice, so the S&W line looked interesting, but I hate stainless...

    AK's undeserved reputation

ARs are definitely more accurate, but my Arsenal AK is more than accurate enough for combat use within a couple hundred yards, which is what these rifles were designed for. They are not target rifles.

Staten Island FD Uses Deluge Gun To Rescue Police From Mob

    1. Put on chest rig (already loaded with 5 magazines). 2. Grab rifle. 3. Get camera rolling. 4. Call police and let them deal with it. Do not leave the house. If anyone attempts to enter house, shoot them.

Ideas for paper on gun control?

The gun laws vs crime rates thing has been done thousands of times already, it's boring. I would focus on one of the following: 1. The racist history of victim disarmament laws in the US (originally used against blacks, etc). 2. The connection between victim disarmament laws and democide...

    Secret Service and CCW's

Isn't it nice how the elite get to travel everywhere in armored vehicles with multiple machine gun toting bodyguards, but in many of the areas they go, us common serfs are legally prohibited from carrying a 5 shot revolver for self defense?

    AK accuracy?

They are not precision rifles, but are more than accurate enough for combat use at realistic distances.

Is this deal too good to be true?

I know, I know, it's Botach, but unless this is a mistake on their site it's incredibly tempting: http://www.botachtactical.com/aiscmoripade.html Anyone?

    Richard Cohen - Washington Post

And governments have killed over 250 million people in the last century. So lets allow the government to disarm us in order to keep us safe. It's like letting the fox guard the henhouse.

    Flying with multiple, valuable handguns?

The UPS Store won't even ship gun parts. I tried to ship some magazines through them once and they made me take them to the hub. It's too bad our out of control government has made shipping handguns such a huge hassle... there's no reason we shouldn't be able to put them in a box and ship them...

Shipping a rifle at the post office

Well I boxed it up & went to the post office, the clerk didn't even ask what was in the box and I didn't bring it up. Mission accomplished :)

Shipping a rifle at the post office

Thanks guys, I didn't know that I didn't have to tell them what's in the box. Do they ask what it is if you're insuring it? If so can I give a vague answer like "machine parts", or should I just tell them it's a rifle?

Shipping a rifle at the post office

I want to ship a rifle and magazines to myself at a relative's house in another state. I've already checked the ATF web site which says this is legal (http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/unlicensed-persons.html#shipping-firearms-additional), and the USPS web site which says they will ship a rifle...

How to avoid hassles with the TSA and still have a self-defense firearm when needed?

I'd rather not carry a gun that I haven't fired. It could be defective from the factory. I'd rather find that out at the range than when bullets are flying at me or someone is bearing down on me with a knife.

DC Permit Process Will Make Your Blood Boil

If they don't want to have firearms available then they shouldn't buy any, and shut up about it. Even if 99.9% of the population thinks guns should be outlawed and votes accordingly, no one has the right to disarm me, regardless of what authority they claim or uniform they're wearing.
