Lot's of new Striker fired pistols out

I bought a VP9 because of my excellent P30. The VP9 has become my primary carry pistol. Much the same, I bought a SIG P320 Carry because of my great P250 FS, C, & SC. It ranks a very close 2nd to my VP9. I have become interested in the Walther PPQ M2 due to the P99 I used to have and...

    need a DAO pistol - Sig P250 or P229?

I own a P229 and 3 P250s (FS, C & SC). I prefer the P250 series due to the ability to customize it between calibers, sizes & grips. The DAO trigger on the P250 is excellent. Ergonomics are excellent. All 3 P250s have performed flawlessly.

Sig's got a new gun but do they?

I owned both a full-size & compact M&P as well. Excellent striker-fired trigger system. Only their lack of pointability for me due to the grip angle forced me to give them up. My P250s were their replacement.

Sig's got a new gun but do they?

I have owned, and still own several SIGs. Every one of them has been flawlessly reliable. More specifically, I own all three sizes of the P250 series. I have transitioned to them as the primary pistols I used for concealed carry. IMO, the long trigger reset is their only weakness. The P320...

SIG Sauer P250 SC Grip Sizes

Does anyone know if the P250 Sub-Compact is available with the Medium grip? Every one of them for sale seems to have the small grip size.

    Full-sized autos for CCW.

The S&W M&Ps are slim and still have a nice mag capacty. With a good IWB holster they a very easily concealed.

    HK P30s

The HK P30, 9mm, with the LEM trigger, is just about the perfect concealed carry pistol in my view. It is without a doubt the most comfortable of the 32 handguns I own. I has proven accurate and 100% reliable. Excellent fit and finish. The trigger is much better than the SIG DAK. It has...

Sig P239 or Springfield Armory XD40 (for CCW)? Any other suggestions welcome!

I strongly recommend the HK P30. It's quite simply the best personal defense pistol I've ever owned and I have 32.

    Sig P226, DAK vs regular

It depends on your intended use. I have SIGs in both DA/SA and DAK. Personally, I like DAO, a.k.a., DAK for personal defense. However, I find the the long re-set to be a drawback in the DAK compared with the LEM trigger of the HK P30, or striker-fired S&W M&Ps.

Tell me about the S&W Model 39

Unless, you're looking for a collectible, my recommendation would be to stick with S&W, but look at the more current models.

    1911's, why so expensive?

Makers push the prices as high as the market will bear due to the popularity of the 1911. To quote The Godfather, "It's not personal, it's business."

    considering a sig

Of the SIGs my recommendation would be the P229. Love mine. Due to recent issues, as previously mentioned, you might consider a used pistol from 2004 or older. Plus, SIGs get better with age anyway.

    Beretta 84

I've had both. My preference was the Beretta 84, but you really can't go wrong with either. Buy the one that fit and points best for you.

    Beretta storm carbine

Can do. It can be switched to totally left-handed. I had one and loved it. Very well designed and constructed. It is also easily accessorized. Buy with confidence. The only reason I don’t still have mine is I had to make room in my safe for a Colt, AR Law Enforcement Carbine.
