I own a P229 and 3 P250s (FS, C & SC). I prefer the P250 series due to the ability to customize it between calibers, sizes & grips. The DAO trigger on the P250 is excellent. Ergonomics are excellent. All 3 P250s have performed flawlessly.

I owned both a full-size & compact M&P as well. Excellent striker-fired trigger system. Only their lack of pointability for me due to the grip angle forced me to give them up. My P250s were their replacement.

Of your options listed, the HK & SIG are a tie on quality & accuracy. Go with which ever fits & points best for you.

The S&W M&Ps are slim and still have a nice mag capacty. With a good IWB holster they a very easily concealed.

I strongly recommend the HK P30. It's quite simply the best personal defense pistol I've ever owned and I have 32.

It depends on your intended use. I have SIGs in both DA/SA and DAK. Personally, I like DAO, a.k.a., DAK for personal defense. However, I find the the long re-set to be a drawback in the DAK compared with the LEM trigger of the HK P30, or striker-fired S&W M&Ps.

Unless, you're looking for a collectible, my recommendation would be to stick with S&W, but look at the more current models.

Of the SIGs my recommendation would be the P229. Love mine. Due to recent issues, as previously mentioned, you might consider a used pistol from 2004 or older. Plus, SIGs get better with age anyway.

I've had both. My preference was the Beretta 84, but you really can't go wrong with either. Buy the one that fit and points best for you.

Can do. It can be switched to totally left-handed. I had one and loved it. Very well designed and constructed. It is also easily accessorized. Buy with confidence. The only reason I don’t still have mine is I had to make room in my safe for a Colt, AR Law Enforcement Carbine.
