Marlin 925 & Marlin Glenfield 25 - Differences? Same thing?

Is there any real difference in the newer Marlin Model 925 and the older 1970's Marlin Glenfield Model 25? Reason being, I want to put Tech Sights designed for a newer Marlin 925 on a Glenfield 25 made in 1975. I realize the front dovetail sight would have to be knocked out and a gunsmith...

    Remington 597 Wood Stock

Does anybody know where I can find a regular wood stock for a Remington 597 .22lr? I have looked everywhere online including Boyds, Stockys, etc. I did find a wooden stock on Numrich but it's sold out. Just wondering if anyone knew something about getting a wood stock for the 597. Seems...

    Ruger 10/22 & Remington 597 Compatible???

I have a Remington 597 and am looking to get a wooden stock for it. I was just wondering if a 10/22 stock is compatible with the Remington 597? I really don't think it is but I was just throwing it out there. Also, does anyone know where I can get a traditional wooden stock for the 597...

Remington 597 Tech Sights + Bull Barrel

I just bought a Remington 597 with a bull barrel. However I want to put Tech Sights on it. Given it is a bull barrel, it doesn't have pre-drilled holes on the barrel for iron sights. I believe it will work since I am going to have the end of the barrel drill and tapped for one 6-48 screw and...

Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport .223. Law Enforcement? Comments? Advice?

Thinking about getting the Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport .223. Was wondering if anyone could offer me some insider info. Just looking for an overall solid AR for recreational shooting...possibly law enforcement in the future. Not planning to do too many mods but wouldn't rule out a red dot...

    Savage Model 10 .243 used $250

Was at my local gunstore and was offered a Savage Model 10 .243 for $250 plus tax. Looks to be in good shape despite a few rust marks. Bolt was smooth and insides looked clean. It comes with a Simmons scope and a sling. Any thoughts on this model? I think I'm going to grab it.

    .22 LR Butt Stock Sleeve?

I've been looking all over for a butt stock sleeve that holds extra rounds of .22 LR. I need one since my primary squirrel hunting rifle is a single shot bolt action so in the rare occasion I miss my first shot (:neener:) I would like to be able to pull a round out of the sleeve and load it...

    Mauser P-38/Walther P-38

Thanks for the info! It's a BYF44 and was made in September or October 1944 at the Mauser Werke Plant in Oberndorf, Germany. It has the WaA 135 marking for the military as well as the German Army symbol.

    Mauser P-38/Walther P-38

I just got a World War II Mauser P-38 from my grandfather. It's got the military proof markings with the German Army Eagle and Swastika. Awesome gun! Anyways, I was looking on Numrich (Gun Parts Corp.) and they don't list a Mauser P-38 but do list a Walther P-38. I was wondering if the parts...

I'm shooting Remington UMC 115gr FMJ's if that has anything to do with it.

    Copper Fouling in Glocks?

I just bought a Glock 19 Gen 4 in November and have only put about 250 rounds through it but have noticed a greenish white powder at the end of the barrel. I was wondering if copper fouling in Glocks is an issue and if I should let some Hoppe's Copper Solvent sit in the barrel overnight to...

Remington Model 4 Rolling Block .32

I got all set up in my garage to take it apart and the screw has been in the gun for about 100 years and wasn't budging and the screw started to get damaged the harder I tried so I decided to hang it up and be content with an estimated manufacture date. I did look over with a high powered light...

Stevens Model 200 >>> Should I Get One?

Sounds awesome. Thanks for the feedback. My local gun store said they could order it and I could get it for $350 out the door. Good price? Anybody know if Bass Pro Shops or Dick's carries it?

Stevens Model 200 >>> Should I Get One?

Anybody have one? What do you think? I've really been looking into a Stevens Model 200 lately. I'm a poor college student so I'm trying to get good results for the money. I want the .308 as a reliable, accurate deer hunting rifle and for target shooting fun from time to time. I plan to get...

Twmaster, does your have serial numbers? Because I'm pretty sure mine doesn't but going to really look tomorrow. Other places I have looked it sounds like others have serial numbers.

Remington Model 4 Rolling Block .32

$4 a round...as rcmodel said, this one is going to become a wall hanger! I'm going to look it over with a fine-tooth comb and see if I see any numbers on it tomorrow. Even take it apart and see if there are any numbers on the interior then call Remington if there is anything. I will let you...

Remington Model 4 Rolling Block .32

I went and looked at it and the hammer just had a circular indentation from where it had hit the primer multiple times. I didn't see anything around the rim like you would see on a spent .22 shell. I think it might be a centerfire but I could be wrong. Do you know anything about specific...

Remington Model 4 Rolling Block .32

http://www.remington.com/products/archived/centerfire/rolling-block/model-4-rolling-block.aspx I think that's it. Says it's a centerfire though. Doesn't really help me out in giving almost a 50 year range on when they were made. 356,000 made.

Winchester Model 67 .22 bolt action

Got yet another gun from my grandfather. This time it's a Winchester Model 67 .22 bolt action .22short and .22LR. It is a single shot where you have to hold down the trigger to load a .22LR shell then pull back the bolt then pull the trigger or pull the bolt back and twist it to put it on...

Remington Model 4 Rolling Block .32

Got a real classic from my grandfather. It's a Remington Model Rolling Block .32. It was used to kill boar on the farm back in the day. I believe it is over 100 years old but I'm trying to find a specific date (not sure if that is possible but I'm going to try) or just a ballpark date when it...
