Found this little beast of a shotgun. Looks like it was professionally refinished. It is a solid frame 97 Winchester 110 years old. It will set in a corner for a HDG if needed. #4 BK should do just fine. I did take it out and shoot a round of trap with it. Great shooter.

Shooting Hornady 75gn BTHP with 23.4 gn of Varget in a 7.7 twist 26" Bartlein 223 varmint barrel and avg 2845. This speed is over what max loads are showing with more powder. At what point if there is a point is this to fast or a barrel burner.

Building up a 700 bolt 223 with 7.7 twist for heavier bullets. Was thinking of the HS Precision bottom metal and mags but what I find is that they only make 4 rnd mags and are HS specific. I want bottom metal that accepts AICS type mags, need at least 2 5rnd mags thanks in advance

Was looking at a Rem 700 .223 heavy stainless fluted 26" bbl with gray webbing on black stock. claimed to be a Sendero. Can't find a Sendero .223 in the blue book. SN# gives a mfg date of 2001. Was a .223 made in a Sendero mdl or is a VSSF the same thing. thanks
