Haven't seen anyone post on this yet, but the question of the two middle school students in Edinburg, TX wounded by rifle fire a few weeks back now seems answered.
The school is relatively new, in an area not yet built up. Co-ordinates, for anyone who wants to look at it on Google Earth...
Was out at the neighborhood backstop this afternoon. Most of the session was devoted to left-hand left-eye training with the beretta 92fs (121 grain hornady HAP bullets over 5.8 gr of power pistol; awesome). But giving the B-92FS a rest, I worked with the NewVaq 45Colt.
OOO! Gotta love them...
B'lieve I've asked this before, but never did get an answer.
Full wad cutters are a popular load for the 38spl. Seating deeper in the case (flush with the case mouth) they have the happy result of reducing case volume behind the bullet.
As to punching holes in paper, I find full wadcutters...
have glock 31, but never did shoot it much. 357sig a minor pain to reload, bing more particular about bullet shape and composition.
got a lone wolf conversion barrel, conventional rifling, for 9mm; also extractor and ejector for 9mm. had a couple of g-17 mags already for the g-26. now i can...
Who's got that photoshopped mag picture i saw posted somewhere a year or so ago? You know, the one with the one cartridge capacity. I think we'll all be going to those soon.
... I'm getting old and don't like to crawl around picking up the empties that I find myself picking up my revolvers in preference to autoloaders?
Is it because I'm getting old and my fingers are losing their touch that I like those big 45colt cartridges?
Or is it just the pleasure and...
I have a NewVaq 45 colt. Yes, it's my first venture into 45 colt and on those few occassions when I think about it, it would be nice to have the Ruger frame which would take wild 45colt overloads; but *every* time I hoist that puppy I am grateful for the lighter weight. It points something...
Just an anecdotal observation (unsupported by and research). Posts related to 357sig in Handguns-Autoloaders and in Handloading & Reloading forums seem to have increased in the last month or so.
I have a G-31 and reload for it; don't shoot it much, though. (Currently putzing around with...
Well, I've had done with plated bullets in 357sig for my Glock 31.
Been thru West Coast, Rainiers, Berrys. They seem to scatter
at trans-sonic speeds. OK for low speed 9mm, but not 357sig.
(Maybe your experience is different, but that's mine.)
For 45acp and 45colt I'm moving from...
have new vaquero. have noticed there is a HUGE amount of trigger travel before the hammer falls (well, huge compared to my s&w j frame which seems to kick off single action without any actual trigger travel at all).
can this travel length be reduced? or is it a mechanical necessity, maybe...
ok - so i have this new vaquero in 45 colt. i've built a few modest loads with universal clays, and a few somewhat more robust with bluedot. still alot of room in that case. been reloading for five or six years. have no experience with black powder or substitutes.
how about a quick and...
just asking - anyone ever tried cutting back 45colt cases to 45acp length and reloading them using 45acp dies (and a 45colt shell holder)?
why would i want to do this? well, i just got a new vaquero in 45colt (largely to have a ssa in the collection and learn about a new cartridge. i find...
had to have one, so i got one - new vaquero in 45 colt, 5 1/2 inch bbl.
got it in spite of having read about the mottled finish on the frame not
being durable; i'm just not particularly fond of glinty (stainless steel) guns.
gun feels nice, points nice, but sure enough after five days there...
have done some 45acp for my springfield mil-spec before, have new vaquero in 45colt which i plan to hand load for. like to keep number of inventory items to a minimum. 45acp would normally take a taper crimp, 45 colt would normally take a roll crimp.
is there a single bullet (preferably...
I favor plated bullets (presently working on some 121gr Hornaday HAP). Reloading on single stage (Rockchucker). Having difficulty getting getting the bullets started straight in 357sig cases; also finding occassional 'fingernail clippings' skinned off the bullets during seating.
Believe...
Have not reloaded 357sig much nor recently, mostly being limited by brass. To get back into the 357sig, I purchased a quantity of once-fired Speer from Brassman. Starting to work on this, I find the de-priming pin of my RCBS forming die kept pulling out.
Seems the flash-holes of this...

England is extending open hours for many pubs - up to 24 hrs/day in some cases. At the same time they intend to more strictly enforce violations of alcohol laws and alcohol associated violence...
happyslapping - seemingly an increasing occurrance in great britain; random non-lethal assaults by gangs of youth.

such would be expected in a nation where self-defense is illegal.
