    Bought my first 1911 today...let the addiction begin.

    I got rid of my M&P fullsize 9mm and Shield 9mm and ordered a Springfield Champion Operator Lightweight. It should be here tomorrow. Is there anything I should know as far as break-in is concerned. Should I be OK taking it to the range just as it comes out of the box? Lame stock pic....

    I love my full size M&P...

    ...but it is a little too big to carry. So... Picked it up today from Academy Sports. I called earlier today and got lucky. They had not even put it in the display case yet. They were kind enough to hold it for me until I could make it over there to pick it up this evening. I am happy.
