New optics for Ruger Ameican Bolt .22

I am just now getting back into rimfire. Last time I was in the market the Mueller AVP 4.5x–14x was all the rage. Is this still the king of the bang for the buck category champ for us looking for something a little more than 3x–9x?. I am looking for at least 16 X and to try to stay under $200.

I have the Mueller APV on a marlin 22mag. It works great for me. Held zero 1000+ rounds thru it, scope is clear enough for me out to 200yards, eye relief takes a little getting use to but once you do it works. I'd by another for a plinking 22.

I also have a BSA sweet 22 on a savage 6-18x. I like that one, really cheap. Eye box kind of sucks and gets blurry at 16x. For rifles I just goof around with these scopes work just fine. I have picked off a few chipmunks at ~100yards with it thou.

don't know if it's "king" but I've been pleased with mine. and I can't think of anything similar and better for the money. closest I can think of offhand is the vortex Crossfire II 4-12x40 AO, or a sightron s1 hunter, but that's about 50 bucks more, and I have the sightron and can't say it's really any better. A little more compact, but not better.
