Or at least, reliable customer service?
I can't count the crap vib cleaners (Lyman, Frankin Armory) that I've used until the counter balance destroyed the motor bearings. Switched to ultraSonic (Harbor Freight) cleaners to find the transducer giving up the ghost in a year or two. As you can see...
I got tired of resetting the 480 second (8 minute) timer on this thing as it takes at least 4 cycles to clean a batch of cases, so I searched around the intertubes and found a hack to bypass the timer altogether by adding a switch to that circuit. It involves opening the cleaner case, pic 1...
Any High Power shooters?
Will a Carbine length receiver extension (buffer tube) function on an across the course match gun with a 26" bbl?
I have been using an A1 stock with an A2 buttplate for about 15 years but in offhand, I have to seat the butt on my bicep rather than in my shoulder...
I have a Browning 1911 380 that stovepipes the 7th round out of the 8 round magazine more often than not using either of two Browning magazines.
I'm inclined to blame this on a weak magazine spring.

Can I shoot a few (10-20) cast, lubed bullets through a 30-30 or 30-06/.308 at reasonable velocities and expect a jacketed bullet or two to scrub the bore to aid cleaning? Or will it just rub lead into the grooves and be equally annoying to brush out?
The ogive on a jacketed bullet seems to...

Just shot some 165g "Whitetail" bullets in my 30-30 and there seems to be quite a bit of, what? ash? It cleans out pretty easily with a brush but there seems to be alot of it to clean out after 8-10 shots powered...
I tried to hijack the P-938 reload thread but got nowhere so I'm asking here about lead bullet practice reloads for the 9mm in general.
Some years ago I reloaded for my Dad's old Model 39 with 115-124gr lead truncated cone bullets with good results. (That gun is a jewel, however.) I tumbled...
Has anyone used the "new" Old Hickory skinner: QN716 ?
It's being advertised as having a thinner blade without the rollmark of the earlier offerings?
Any comment on the "improved" design?
I was pretty happy with the earlier, thicker skinner for slaughtering/butchering deer, sheep or goats...
I have a beaten to "shorter than spec" recoil spring that my "builder" put on my Springfield gov't .45 years ago that I imagine may need changing (it's been at least 20 years). The wire is .045" diameter, it's 32 coils and now about 3/8" shorter than spec). I'd like to have a spare for my...
