    Help identifying late 1800's rifle

So I recently acquired this rifle from a family member, and after looking at every possible picture of WW1 rifles, The closest I'm finding is the M1870 Italian Vetteri. But not really the same. Best way I can check the bore is with a set of calipers at .430. It have very little markings on it...

    Plated Bullets

i've had great results using plated bullets with my favorite being Everglades, but Xtreme and Berrys are also great. Just find Everglades a little cheaper, especially with the free shipping included. Everglades and Xtreme seem to have better discounts throughout the year, but some bullets by...

    Crimped Primers

I also discovered using a 45 degree countersink bit in my portable drill motor, lock it in my vice and about a second or so will do the job. I've yet to see a procedure that is quicker and cheaper. Only around $12. for a high quality bit.

.30 Carbine bullets in .30-06 reduced loads?

I worked up a load of 14.5 gr of IMR 3031 with a 110 gr plated bullet from Everglade with an average velocity of 1,125 with my early model Winchester 94 30/30. A real fun load and accurate at 100 yards. Might be what your looking for

    .223 Powder for Dillon

I'm loading 21gr of IMR 3031 under a 62gr FMJ thru my Dillon 550B. I check my weight every 50 rnds or so when I'm loading a bunch with a RCBS M1000 scale. Meters just fine with no noticeable difference. So just a FWI, my main 223 I shoot is a Ruger mini 14. I like the 3031 since it also works...

    Problems with Sneaky Pete Holster

So I just received a holster for a Sig P238 Micro Compact 380. Same size as the Bodyguard and Mustang. So the holster received is not even close to the dimensions and pictures advertised. OK, these things happen, but the problem comes when I try and contact the company to get it resolved...

Reloading 45 Colt for the first time. Questions

Lots of good advise here! One thing I quickly learned, was the different lengths of all the different case stamps. The modern 45 Colt will shoot any length, but they should all be the same in order to crimp your bullet correctly. I ended up buying new Starline Brass. I still check the length and...

Where are reloading components available (Not a Discussion Thread)

The deal was to buy it in 8 lbs lots at $137. I paid $19. Per lbs in 1 lbs containers since the 8 lbs cans were gone. I have not seen any HP38 in so long, I'm not complaining, especially with my local source asking $50. A lbs.

I may be out in left field, but I rinse mine out and store it in a plastic container damp. They can't rust, so why go thru the extra effort?

I come from a family with a long history of gun ownership. I enjoy both hand guns and rifles which I own several, with a recent acquisition of a Rugar Old Army 44 black powder revolver, which I'm thoroughly enjoying. My primary interest is target shooting and self defense. I attended my first...
