Sig L.E. trade ins can be had for 500 or a little more. I picked up a 226 and a 229 at sportsmans guide but they were 40sw I think the had some glocks in 9mm. However for range use only I think a canik sfx is a great range gun in that price range
Unique has many more uses for me but I love 10- 10.5 gr blue dot behind a 158 xtp or gas checked swc in a 4 or 6 inch 357. I know it's crazy because of unburned powder but it just makes awesome groups. Enforcer is good too but not quite as small groups. Been thinking of trying it in 40sw but I...
Sportsmans Warehouse is selling spp under 6 bucks per 100. Only let you buy 200 at a time. It's convenient for me as I go to health club close by. Sometimes I bring the wife with and get 400. I'm up to 3000 now. CCI 500 and Rem 1 1/5. Better price then Cabelas and Sheels if you don't mind not...
I like mine a lot. Put nite sights on it and I only do that with guns I like and plan on keeping a long time. Accurate and fits my hand. I load 5.1g cfe pistol over rmr 124 hp at 1.065 oal. Only 9mm of mine that beats it is a canik sfx and only barely.
I only use fcd on the few rounds that won't seat in lyman case checker after taper crimping. Some brass is thicker than others and I seat my rmr 124 hp deep at 1.060 to work in all my 9mm guns. deep seating and some makes of brass cause some to not chamber without post sizing. I'd rather do that...
Wish I could find some blue dot.my my 357s miss it.10 to 10 and a half grains behind a 158 gr. bullet is most accurate heavy load I've ever found. 13 grains enforcer is close but not quite. Wonder if alliant is ever gonna be on shelves I also need some be86 for my nines.:(
My favorite mid range load is 6.5gr herco with a158gr swc. Accurate and moderate recoil. Of course alliant powders are hard to get unless you know shotgun reloaders who will share or trade.
I've owned various manufacturers revolvers. Smiths, Rugers, Dan Wesson's, Rossi's, Taurus. I have had a couple problems with Taurus pistols but their revolvers have been fine. Model 66 is a very nice shooter and 856 is a nice 6 shot snub although I did put a wolf spring kit in that one. My M44...
I have a SFX, an elite and a V2. I like to them alot. Nice triggers. I hit more 10 and 9 rings offhand with my caniks then any of my other guns. Well actually I have a 6 1/2" Blackhawk with reduced trigger springs and thousands of rounds through it that is real good too.
I have a V2 which preceded the DA. I also have an elite and SFX. They all are extremely accurate with excellent triggers. They are not my CC guns because of their size but if I was to carry one everyday it would be the V2 because of the decocker and double action first pull would be a safer...
I have the same mold and load 9.8 blue dot and shoot in a Blackhawk. One thing about this bullet is if you compare it to other swc bullets it seats deeper than many others. You can compare where crimp grooves are. So adjust your loads accordingly
