    Century Galil/Golani?

I had one that someone gave me. It never fired more then 3 before jamming, most of the time it was 1 or 2. Century is the only one I know that can make an AK design unreliable.

    338 Win Mag for Whitetails

I've shot several with mine. It works as well as any of the other rifles I have and does about the same amount of damage.

    4" k-22

It is a pre-18 K-22. The serial numbers say it is from 1954 but the numbers do not match.

    4" k-22

I found one in a local gun shop for $350. The finish is about 80% and the build numbers on the frame and cyl don't match. It is tight and functions well. Is it worth the $350?

    K-22 date?

Where can I get a book with all this information? I was always a 1911 type until last year when I was bitten by the S&W revolver bug (it’s a horrible, account depleting disease) after finding a deal on a 4” 29-1. It was all down hill from there, another 29, 19, 60, 686, K-38, and K-22. Any...

    K-22 date?

You are correct RC, I went by the numbers under the crane like the rest of my S&W revolvers. Good call. Is this a K-22 thing or did they do it on other models too? The number on the butt is K250xxx. I am guessing that puts it in the late 50’s somewhere? I took it out and shot it yesterday...

    K-22 date?

A K-22 just followed me home from a show. The serial number is 11xxx, no letters or other markings. It has S&W finger grove grips and a 6” barrel I would say it is around 98-99% with just a touch of holster wear on the muzzle. Can anyone tell me when it was made and what it may be worth?

Puma 92 vs marlin 1894 in 45 Colt

I have one of each, a Marlin in .44 mag and a Puma in .454, and like them both. I have had a two feeding problems with the Marlin that took the gun out of action but I think I have that fixed. Zero problems with the Puma. After a little work both actions are equally slick. The Puma does a...

    PBS poll

PBS has an online poll posted asking if Sarah Palin is qualified. Apparently the left wing knew about this in advance and are flooding the voting with NO votes. The poll will be reported on PBS and picked up by mainstream media. It can influence undecided voters in swing states...

My "Workin Man's Precision Rifles" (Varminters), including one new one

No matter what you will like the way that rifle shoots. Mine is a consistent ½" shooter at 200 yards if I do my part. I have 4 varmint guns (220 swift, 220 Ackley, 25-06, and 257 WM), if I could figure out how to post pics I would.

My "Workin Man's Precision Rifles" (Varminters), including one new one

I’m sure some shoot better then others and I got a good one. Do you know what the differences are between the two? When I got mine there was no such thing as a Sub-MOA.

My "Workin Man's Precision Rifles" (Varminters), including one new one

Hmmmmmm, I have a standard Vanguard in .257 WM. I looked at your target and had to dig out the one that came with my rifle and measure. The 3 shots went .281. What are the differences between the Sub-MOA and the standard? I guess I got a good one.

    17 HMR........What do you think?

I bought one. Hit a ground hog twice at 50 yards, after the second shot it ran into its hole. That never happened with my .22 mag. Got rid of it the next day.

    IMR 4350 brown smoke??

There is about 80lbs of the 130lbs I started with. I don’t know if there is such a thing as “shooting enough” but I try. The problem is the things I put 4350 in tend to beat up on the shoulder. I’ll have to try to make it more versatile. I did the sniff test (actually my wife did, my sniffer...

    IMR 4350 brown smoke??

That doesn't sound good. I've been using it in my .338 and it shoots okay. What problems will this cause? I hate to think I have 80 pounds of fertilizer.

    IMR 4350 brown smoke??

I have some 4350 that has been around a couple of years. When I poured it into another container a small cloud of brown smoke drifted up. The powder itself looks normal as does the inside of the original container. Any idea what causes this?
