I've seen this video once before. The threads on the MB 500 adapter are to small and pull right out of the end of the mag tube. I more or less was just looking to verify if the treads were different on the Maverick.

You can try Ebay.. my Maverick 88 already had an 18.5" barrel on it but I was able to find a 24" slug barrel and a 28" threaded barrel. I did see some 18.5" barrels a while back on there but not cheap.. $250 and up. Aslo try Gunbroker, you dont need an FFL to purchase a barrel.

The newer 870 Express 6+1 single piece mag you mentioned above is going for well over 1k on Gunbroker.. it's a sharp looking piece of machinery & I'd love to have one but def not for that kinda money.. I paid $527 for mine used but not abused. It's not exactly the greatest time to buy guns

It definitely pushes them all out nicely.. I ran 6 live shells through it 4xs. The Akkar spring is kind of stiff itself when in the 612 but what a smooth loader now. So for $8 +shipping I ordered another 612 spring for the 870.

I'm not 100% sure if it's factory or aftermarket for the simple fact I bought it used.. but if I had to bet money I'd have to say it's all original and came like this by the looks of it.

870s are going for ridiculous amounts of money on Gunbroker.. I managed to grab an 870 Express used but not abused for just under $500, but I am kinda concerned about the availability & price of replacement parts & certain accessories down the road.

I have a Churchill.. it's a really nice gun to hold the action is pretty tight the forearm has a nice ergonomical feel to it. However it's a really light gun and doesn't have much of a recoil pad so its gonna kick you around a little bit. All & all it's not a bad choice for a home defense...
