Very cool story and good post. Congrats, I bet you had a moment when you spotted the one at the gun show. Beautiful guns.

Let's see some of your favorite budget revolvers! (Appreciation Thread)

38 Special and it shoots straight and great. Maybe I'll post a pic of the nice cardboard box sometime. I think it has a fitted styrofoam insert with 5 spent cases in slots.

    I bought a new S&W; don’t hate me.

vanfunk, Awesome, and a good write up. I have the 4.25" version. It's great but I really wanted the 2.75 and couldn't find it. I put a trigger spring kit in it, Wilson Combat I think, and polished things. It is unbelievable in DA but still just typical nice S&W in SA. I want a blanking plug for...

Just put together the son’s new PCP

What a great looking gun. Is that considered a 10 Meter setup? I had an old school Williams peep sight on my Weihrauch HW30 177 for a while this year. It was good for 10 yards and sometimes 30 yards. I went back to a V notch for more holdover options at distance.

Need flush mag for Bul 1911

My 2 new Mec-Gar mags work fine with no failures (100 rounds, 2 brands of FMJ). I'll eventually try something else in search of perfection. Madcap, Thanks, I'm really liking it. I have a couple nice GI in 45. The Bul is my first Commander and first 9mm 1911.

Need flush mag for Bul 1911

Jim Watson, Thanks! If I have any trouble with the Mac-Gar's that I ordered, I may try the Metalform.

Need flush mag for Bul 1911

JTG, I think you are right about the 8-round. I'm trying to learn. So a 9-round flush is what I'm looking for, I think! Gonna find out soon. I knew my commander grip was the same as a full-size. I was thinking that my extended was +2. I should have known better because I have several 7 and 8...

Need flush mag for Bul 1911

Sorry Guys. Yes, 9mm. My bad. I did order (2) blued 9-round Mec-Gar mags today. If they work out I may try their stainless mags.

Need flush mag for Bul 1911

OEM 10 round mags work good with zero failures. Not a big fan of extended mags except they are easy to seat with the extra length. I may get 1 or 2 flush mags for IWB carry. Any recommendations? Maybe an 8 round Wilson? Thanks Edit; 9mm

    Sp101 38sp conversation to 357

We've seen the pleadings to not alter this or that classic and I usually agree. My argument this time is to not spoil the pure romantic 38 Special. Yes, 357's are special but not romantic to me. I have a number of 357's and the 38 has always eluded me. Plus, I wouldn't spoil that French Police...

    Packaging Question. AKOU Fighter Brake.

I may sell an AK muzzle brake locally and was looking for the OEM packaging in my stuff. Anyone remember what the OEM packaging looks like? Thanks.

Ammo for Gun I don’t have yet!

I got 2 boxes of 32 Long online, got 2 boxes while out of town and got some dies, bullets and brass from a local guy on MeWe. I thought I might trade my Dad out of his S&W 31-1 but he wouldn't trade. I offered him a very nice Blackhawk in 357 to go with his Security Six but he's hard to trade.

    Vintage Handles

Looks even better now! Good kit pic. One of my fav GP100s I’ve seen. I like my 5 1/2” GP100 in 22LR too.

Given hope for .32 Magnum lovers

I have a stack of tie plates too but I’m afraid I’ll shoot through the spike hole and call it a miss! Years ago, before there were cameras everywhere, I’d get a stack of scrap sheet metal from a gondola rail car. Every Friday I’d stock up. The weekend I’d shoot holes in everything. Monday I’d...

Pre-lock vs Lock Smith & Wessons

When I got interested in revolvers it was too late for pre-lock purchases. i was determined to own a 19, 66 & 686. Got all three with locks and the K frames have 2 piece barrels. They are a sweet collection of shooters with thousands of rounds down range. Maybe one day someone will make a nice...

Given hope for .32 Magnum lovers

I hope to own a 32 one day. I got my cart ahead of my horse and bought dies, bullets, brass, powder and 5 boxes 32 SW Long Ammo. I would love a SW or Colt or Ruger SA. Not sure what order of preference.
