Is there some general guidelines on how many buckshot hits on average are needed to effectively kill a deer? I have seen deer killed hit by as few as 3 pellets, but always considered that to be a lucky kill, and too few to be reliable. Assume buckshot pellet size will have some effect on this.

Caps seem to slide off the nipple of this rifle and stick in the hammer cup. Is there a replacement nipple to correct this problem that someone knows about? Any other suggestions? Thanks.
