Can I safely fire +p+ loads in my Steyr M9? I'm thinking of carrying this as a self defense load only. Probably going to run through 50 or so rounds every 6 months or so to stay fresh on technique but other than that, mostly standard pressure stuff.
I'm trying to replace my Kimber Custom's sights with some three dots from Wilson Combat. Will this require "minor fitting?" If so, what exactly does this mean. I'm ok with tools, but I'm thinking that I don't have the right tools for this kind of work!

I have the opportunity to purchase a H&K USP40 NIB with 4 hi cap mags for $650. Apparantly the dealer bought too many of these a while ago and is trying to move them out.

This is probably pretty elementary, but I haven't been able to find a definitive answer.
Do subsonic loads (.22lr in particular) shoot any quieter than standard ones. I would think that they would, and many brands say that they are no louder than a .177 air rifle.
What are your thoughts?

I'll chime in for the Steyr people. I'd suggest the M9 to anyone looking for a good carry piece. I just bought one about a month ago for $350 at a gun show in NC. So you can buy one with cash to spare.

I have an older model M9 (Serial #0042XX) and I believe that there have been several trigger revisions done since then. Mine breaks unevenly and is very heavy at the moment (about 8 lbs.) and I think the new ones are around 5.
