I just want to comment on the statement thar Kel-tec SU16C is junk. The people who have been out shot while we walked and plinked, more like what one could expect in self defense, might disagree. It is light, fires folded, and is as reliabe as any AR in its role. I have a hand full of ARs I own...
I have a Rossi ss 92 in 357 and the last two times I was shooting it someone tried to hand me a roll of 100 for it. My Rio Grande 3030 is also stainless and shoots just fine. I put a Williams peep on it. My 20+ year old Rossi 88 38 special is still going strong too. Just like my 1100 and 700...
Here is my question. How many of you have fired a shotgun in a building? It is not pretty even with hearing protection. You may not notice the sound and recoil during the action but you will a few minutes later. It will hurt. 20ga is not as loud as a 12ga.
Things have changed over the years. 410s have a lot more respect now than then except for the ones who owned and hunted or protected life and limb with them back then. I think a 410 would be a dandy home defense gun for many people. Maybe me, too.
In over fifty years of shooting and killing game I still remember that first rabbit and how I felt watching the twitching body as I realized what I had done. I hunted to eat or to protect property and life.
No sane man wishes to have to kill another but sane men do accept that at times...
My question is about shotguns fitting the shooter. When was the last time you ever had a shotgun stock fitted to you by someone who did such a thing? If you did how did you find someone who knew how to do it for you? Finally, what did it cost? I bet most people pick a gun up and have no idea...
Reminds me of the old Soviet Union Pravda report of the car tests. The report said the American car was next to last and the Russian car was second. Only problem was there were only two cars tested.
I have owned an 1100 for about 50 years, ditto my 700 30-06. Both have given me a lifetime of shooting and hunting joy. What more can one want? I also went out and bought a Tristar Raptor. I love it for its HD purpose. I trust it with 00Buck or 000Buck.
Wolff Springs
WoW! What a difference springs make.I now have a gun with a smooth hammer pull and a 2.4 pound trigger. Great gun!!! I have already decided to get the matching 45 colt.
From what I read they are. The only difference is the 357 has smaller holes drilled in them instead of 45 cal which makes walls a bit thicker and a tad heaver.
I am waiting for my Wolff springs to arrive today to begin tuning this gun.
I bought a 357 from Academy about a monh ago. I was out shooting it in the desert today. With 5 rounds on board I started shooting at a bleach bottle about 25 yards away.I liked shooting at it because every time I hit it I could see the hole in the bottle. Five shots and five holes nicely...
In February I bought a 9mm full sized M&P. I wouldn't touch one for years after buying a Sigma which I hated. I bought to shoot to requalify after I found out Gun Sight has them for sale. I bought it one day and shot it the next. It was awesome. In fact I was so happy that a few days later...
I love my Mossberg and I own a Stevens too. I like the Mossy better in some ways and the Stevens in others. At 69 I no longer believe in status symbols but in tools that work. Mine works for me.
7400
I bought a used 7400 for 250 that had not had a full box through it. It looked like new and was really but the scope base screw was too long and caused the bolt to stick open. Shorter bolt, no more problems. Nice gun and accurate hunting rifle.
