    Sniper (snipper) rifle project

Fancyboy, youall gets yours ready and we'll have a little match hee hee hee My "sleeper" started out as a Brazilian Model 1936 Mauser 30-06 that cost me a whole $65. Looked like it had been dropped in the Amazon a few too many times and I tried my best to keep it looking that way. Bubbaaed on...

    Repairing pitted chamber with JBweld

Thanks Guys! I gave it a go. Cleaned the pits as well as I could with ether, put a little JB in the pits and chambered a fired shell covered with very thin aluminum foil as a template. Sand papered and steel wooled the next day. It chambers rounds OK and I was carefull not to get anything on the...

    Repairing pitted chamber with JBweld

Ran this by the guys in the gunsmithing section and got no experienced answers so I thought, though off-topic, I would try it here. I picked up an old beatup Mark 3 303 British Enfield for 20$ at a yard sale last summer. Fixed most all the problems, but a severly pitted chamber at the lower...

    Pitted Enfield Chamber

Picked up a rusty old 1917 Enfield for $20 at a yard sale last summer. Missing a front site, safety, mag, and butt plate. Barrel trashed at the muzzle and the chamber deeply pitted at the bottom. I have fixed most problems to produce a SHTF shooter, but the pitted chamber. When I fire a round...

Back from the Ohio shotgun deer hunt season

Saw a vidio of two coyotes killing a 450 pound cow elk in deep snow, so they can kill any deer if the conditions are right. Much of their scat I see here in Michigan has deer hair in it. They feed on foxes if they can catch them, as wolves will feed on coyotes if they can, also. There are...

Is it just me or is there a conspiracy going on?

The Globalists are bring the WAR here and they don't want to supply ammo to their future enemy. This place is going down, it is the only way they can write off their national debt. Roll your own. Do you know how to pull potasium nitrate out of a manure pile?

    Need a Rocket Scientist!

Have heard that the present HV saboted tank rounds made from DU[ 2/3rds of the "hot" U235 and U233 spun-out ]ignite as soon as they leave the barrel at close to 5000 fps and are burning all the way down range. This is why there is a serious long term health risk of breathing alpha emittting...

I need help buying a new rifle

Had simular problems with both 742's I've owned. Lost a shot at a big buck also when the clip didn't go all the way home on a hurried loading and make that last "snick". The BAR I owned was faultless but so heavy I only kept it a season. Both of these brands of gas semi-autos did reduce the felt...

    BP and gun control

Who in their right mind[or wrong mind]in society would take it out on the kids if they had a general disagreement with how things are? Lots of alternative targets of the rich and powerful that are just as "soft". These school shootings are all government black psycops by "clear eyes" mind...

223 rifle selection. Any feed back will be greatly appreciated.

Remington 760 series pumps have good reliabilaty and accuracy reputations and they are now makeing the 7615 a M&P plastic stocked model that uses AR magazines. Pricey now but I bet they will go for under $500 in the future.

Market for iron sited bolt guns/quasi-military design?

Remmington makes the 7615 which is what I would like, except in 7.62 X 39 useing AK magazines instead of 223 with AR magazines. Or in 308 useing M14 mags or FAL mags. It is way too expensive though, over $200 more than a plastic stocked 742 which can be had for $400. Didn't Savage make a...

So lets say you DO bring a knife to a gun fight. . .

Give me a baseball bat or a shovel anyday. Have sluggers under both the front and back steps and a sharpened #1 in the back of the truck. Lord!, I'd rather have a 12" adjustable wrench in my hand[which is under the front seat of the car]than any damned knife I could carry.

    Russian Sub-Sonic AK Round?

Does anyone know anything about this round and the rifles that are being built for it? I think it is a 250 grain BT 9mm in a 39mm case.

Deadly on deer with Hornady 158 grain sabots in front of 60 grains of triple X and can be loaded down with round ball in front of 20 grains to a very accurate soft kicking target load.
