Here ya go... the ongoing thread at m4carbine.net

I recently bought my first AR-15/M4 style rifle. After much research I narrowed my choice down to Colt, Noveske and LMT. I found an LMT priced about $100 more than RRA/Stag/etc. In my opinion...

Pay particular attention to the Knowledge Base Threads... (see link below.)
There is a tremendous amount of information about build quality and features... by brand... that will help you balance the budget/quality/features equation.
Good...
For as little as $100 more than an RRA you can usually find a comparable setup from other manufacturers with superior parts and build quality. The M4Carbine.net links above tell part of the story. I researched the hell out of this topic before purchasing my LMT (Lewis Machine & Tool) Defender. YMMV.
Building is fun... the resulting AR can be fun to shoot... as long as you have no illusions about the quality of "one piece at a time"... remember the Johnny Cash song... he stole most of those parts... and the car was a mess - even if it did run! There are many good AR resource sites on the...
Without any big fan-fare... read this before you decide to build... you may still decide to build... but at least you'll go in with your eyes open!

A good start... timing is very important... your on-screen visuals are a little choppy... for example... the actor disappears and reappears to abruptly... the re-cap of the rules at the end moves a little too quickly...
The sound is critical... your actor's voice has no presence... there is...
I am sorry... I own a Glock... why would anyone want that done? Is there a tactical advantage that is not obvious to me? Or is it just something that has aesthetic appeal (although to my eyes... uh... no.) No disrespect to your efforts, which I admit I could not duplicate. Just wanna know WHY...
Sadly... the Libertarian Party... clearly a party of principle... has made little or no impact on the political scene. While the two major parties... whose members and actions are clearly less principled... control the game.
The only way we will see change is to make change. As painful as it...
In spite of my gut telling me there was really no reason to sell the Ruger Mark II I had for many years, away it went. It was such a nuisance to take down and properly clean that it ran dirty must of the time. Now... in fairness... it was cheap to acquire... it ran FLAWLESSLY all the time, dirty...
Keep walking... and good luck with the surgery. You are correct to carry all the time... I do as well. Depending on your clothing, often governed by climate, any of the guns you mentioned can work. My best advice is to get the appropriate holster that provides any and all of the following...
Sorry to hear of the unfortunate incident. Couple of things... in my firearms training I have been taught that if your gun is about to fall... LET IT FALL! Do not under any circumstances attempt to grab it to "save" it. The chance of a ND is too great.
With that, I have also been taught that...
Home security companies install OK systems... sometimes at exorbitant markups... all with the hope of hooking you on the monthly fee long-term. There is a small benefit in that with a monitored system you have some expectation that the police will be notified of a break-in. And from my personal...
The rogue economist Steven D. Levitt, in his book (along with co-author Stephen J. Dubner) "Freakonomics", makes a very strong case for the reason that the crime rate dropped in MANY cities across the country during the '90's... and it wasn't gun control... it was... abortion! Whether you agree...
Our two-party political system is so broke-down and riddled with corrupt power-mongers that we are rarely presented with good leaders as candidates. I fear that the current crop of presidential wanna-bees will not offer much more come election day. Rudy is merely a lesser evil than some, a...
Take the World's Smallest Political Quiz...
...see where you really fit in. Millions have taken this short (takes a few seconds) quiz... It definitely expands on the myth of liberal versus conservative.
I've taken this many times (it has changed slightly over the last 20 years) but I always...
I know the rules of gun safety. I can't say that everyone who owns a gun knows them... or follows them. Employees at big mega-stores may have varying degrees of experience with firearms in spite of the type of store they work in. If a store, due to the nature of its business, expects customers...
For travel... where the weapon needs to be unloaded and locked... this appears to be about the same as a locked plastic factory box cabled to the inside of my luggage. As long as some luggage ransacker doesn't get in there, my gun should arrive safely with my luggage.
I think the real benefit...
