Plated Bullets Out of a Glock?

From what I've read, they're fine for plinking, but shootin HOT rounds that are plated, can cause some build up in the barrel.

Probably a Stupid Question Regarding 1911s, But...

x77 on not buying a Kimber. I've owned 2, and realized that with the money I puked up for them :barf:, I could have had myself a real custom made 1911.

Probably a Stupid Question Regarding 1911s, But...

First of all, there are plenty of "higher-end" 1911's that beat the pants off a Kimber, in my opinion. Check out Dan Wesson. Great pistols, great customer service, and they make 'em in 10mm. Dan Wesson doesn't have a nasty looking roll mark claiming "custom" unless it was a custom built pistol...

New Glock owner, questions..is this normal?

Mine 29 does it. I'm not worried about it. Mmmmm.....10mm..........too bad ammo is so damn expensive these days.

Best out of box 1911 under 1K?

I had an OK experience with 2 Kimbers: a Tactical Custom II and a Pro Carry II. Would I buy another one? No. I can buy a Dan Wesson for less money and get a better product.

GLOCK in 10mm rocks. I use my 29 for my CC weapon, and hiking/camping sidearm as well.

Kabooming Glocks (and not 23s either)

There are only a few models that have had issues, which is usually the higher pressure rounds like the .40 S&W and 10mm. I've got a model 29 and carry it IWB daily, or I'll switch it out with a 23. I guess I had better get better insurance since they're going to blow up in my face.:banghead:

Kabooming Glocks (and not 23s either)

I've made comments about GLOCK to those who are the bashers...they asked why I dislike M&P's, and I gave a reason. Who does this make one a troll? Two posts out of 13 makes that "most of them"?

And yea...you really nailed it on the head..I'm a GLOCK basher. That's why I own, and trust my life to two of them...good call though. Typical.

Kabooming Glocks (and not 23s either)

Oh my bad, Aluminum Alloy...it's still the fact that it's a heavy piece or trash. Hey, you can keep your SIG's and your M&P's, fine by me. I'm not worried about my GLOCK's, they do just fine, and will continue to. and SIG does make an SS frame. Stainless STEEL.

Kabooming Glocks (and not 23s either)

First, it's Wiskey, second I don't need to TAKE another sip of anything. If you're set on your M&P, so be it, but that's your problem not mine. You seem to dislike GLOCK's for one reason or another, but face it, all pistols have had their issues, and will continue to. If there were half as...

Kabooming Glocks (and not 23s either)

One mans trash is another mans treasure I guess. I'm not a fan of them. The trigger is garbage (not saying GLOCK's is amazing) and I don't buy S&W anymore.

Kabooming Glocks (and not 23s either)

Dobe, sorry, but the M&P is garbage. Anyhow, the SIG is so easily repaired because it's a steel frame. Compare apples to apples. It's like saying my Tacoma is tougher than your Saturn.... Speer has already taken the blame for the GLOCK 37's KB in recent news. Faulty ammo can make any pistol...
