    Thinking about a Stag 3G......

This was at 100yds just pretty much continuously shooting not really taking any time at all. Off of a rest of course. I am a self proclaimed terrible target shooter so it did pretty well in my opinion especially with my scope issues. Excited to get out and try it again!!

    Thinking about a Stag 3G......

Shot it on Sunday, put about 90rds through it I suppose. Really love the rifle, really hated the scope. I put a Redfield Revenge 4-12 on it. I had read some decent reviews on it but no matter what I did I couldn't get it to focus right and its tracking was terrible. We're talking 10-12 clicks @...

    Thinking about a Stag 3G......

I laughed at his ½ moa statement as well, I'm not capable of it as a shooter so I will never know. Hoping to hold 1" groups , if I can do that I will be happy and the prairie dogs will not!!

    Thinking about a Stag 3G......

Wondering your opinion on them. It will be my first AR and I don't really want to build one right out of the gate but don't want a POS either. Looking for accuracy and reliability and the sales guy said it has a lifetime transferable warranty and a ½"moa guarantee so it seems to fit the bill. It...

COLT .22, whats it worth and how old is it

Hey guys, buddy of mine has a Colt .22 pistol that was his grandfathers. It is in VERY good condition and has "SERVICE MODEL" engraved on it as well as "ACE" inside a diamond engraved on it. It resembles a model 1911 but was not aware of one in a .22. Just wondering if there is a site we could...

    Savage 99E--the undiscovered rifle

I have my grandfathers model 99 250/3000, my dad says it pretty much kept the family fed for a time when things were rough, great old gun. Gramps had it drilled and tapped for a scope but they didn't get em straight so it still wears the peep that he used when he carried it. He had it with him...

Paranoid about my latest gun purchase

Damn internet!!!! The good and bad about the net is if you look long enough you can find something bad about everything, well I found it. I recently put a nice Sako 75 Stainless Synthetic on layaway at our local sporting goods store. Well I was reading last nite about a recall on them in like...

Used SAKO 75 SS vs New Rem 700 SL

Hey guys, kicking around the idea of getting a 300 Mag, at first I entertained the idea of getting a .300RUM but when i started looking first there wasn't much to choose from as far as rifles and brass is $45 for 50rds for the bohemoth. So out with the Rum and in with the good old 300 Winnie...

Is .357 magnum enough gun for white tail deer?

You bet, here's the proof, he was taken between 30-40yds, I was shooting Fed 180gr Castcore's out of a 6" Gp100. I still have the .357 but have added a 7.5" SRH .44Mag for this coming season. Please take note that once you successfully harvest an animal with a pistol it becomes a bit addicting...

Ammo choice...180 gr vs. 200 gr .357 Magnum?

Here he is with his hide on, not much of a rack but has good size to him, typical MN whitetail I guess. Not a trophy hunter as you can tell, I just like to eat em!!!!!!

Ammo choice...180 gr vs. 200 gr .357 Magnum?

180 gr Castcore's do the job in a .357MAG Harvested my first deer with my .357 mag this year using Federal Castcore 180gr out of my 6" Gp 100. It only took one and he never knew what hit him, I'd stick with the 180's in the .357. I am now hooked on handgun hunting whitetail and added a Ruger...

Married Guys: Does your wife shoot with you?

My wife shoots some, she likes the Ruger 10/22, MK I, and really likes my GP 100 with 38's. Sometimes i sneak a .357 in with the 38's just to see if she's payin attention. She hasn't gotten the dander up to shoot my deer rifles yet and I don't think she will be interested in the .44 once she...

    Ruger Super Redhawk!

I just picked up my SRH a couple weeks ago, shot about 40rds through it and about 40 through my .357 at the same trip, the 357 is fun but the 44 is a freakin hoot!!!! Allot of fun to have that much power in your hands, guessing the wife will be shooting the .357 a bit more now since my attention...
