This other thread left me wondering.

That thread obviously proves that many people believe that Glocks aren't the best. Then that means these same people also believe there does exist a best handgun brand, right? Unfortunately, the original...
(I did a search but couldn't find anything current and on point exactly.)
I'm thinking about getting a Ruger LCP or something similar.
How is the availability/pricing for .380 Auto in FMJ (for target) and JHP (for carry)?
In other words, is the availability so bad that I should avoid getting...
My girlfriend likes shooting the Glock 27 and the Glock 23, but she's having trouble working the slide to chamber a round, clear the chamber, etc. That's obviously not a good thing.
What make and model of handgun would you recommend she consider? I'd have her walk into the gun store and point...
In no other industry have I seen prices rise like they have in the firearms industry. For example, two years ago, I bought 2,000 rounds of Wolf .308 Win for less than $500 from Cabela's. Today, those same 2,000 rounds cost $1,000. I can't justify buying cheap Wolf ammo at the current pricing...
A fair number of gun owners have claimed that a SxS is more effective for home defense than a pump shotgun.
Then, it struck me that I have never seen photos of modern day professionals (cops or soldiers) using a SxS shotgun on their jobs. One would think that if a SxS shotgun is honestly more...
What's a good pad that will fit my 870P buttstock? The pad in the pic is super hard and is not ideal for clay shooting.
I have nice pad called R3 for my Wingmaster, but I don't think that pad will fit my 870P.
This question is intended to get information on what other men handle this situation. My mom and sister each want to own their own handgun. Unfortunately, their guns will be two more guns that I'll have to clean. There's just no way they're going to maintain and clean their guns after coming...

According to writer Dave Gibson, it's because "what [the press wishes] to stifle most of all is how easily crime can be prevented by a well-armed public."
I agree...
A friend just got back from JFK Airport on 8/26/09. She described military-type personnel patrolling the airport. Their uniforms included camouflage, boots, bullet-proof vest, beret, and handgun in holster. My friend couldn't tell if they were military or civilian law enforcement. She...
This thread was inspired by that other thread about a guy who got his gun stolen from his car.

Here's a poor man's method to get relatively good security today:
(NOTE: I no longer recommend this method in pic 1. I'm keeping the pic here...
I plan on getting a regular housekeeper. My biggest concern is having a stranger in the house. To anybody that has a housekeeper, I have few questions:
How has the arrangement worked out for you?
Do you prevent the housekeeper from going certain places, like your safe room?
How did...
I'm wondering how is the knowledge base here for Glock.
By the way, I just canceled my account at glocktalk.com. That site is running rampant with too many spoiled, immature children. They've taken over the site. So, I had to leave.
The comment below is why I don't allow the general public to comment on videos on my Youtube channel:
Sorry folks, there is no Freedom of Speech on my Youtube channel. I'm the dictator, and I allow only certain comments to post on my profile page only.
(EDIT: Ooop, I should have done a search first...)
I'm probably posting something that everybody here knows, but it's new to me.
I just saw the HK416 on the History Channel. It's amazing if it can actually do everything they claim. According to the History Channel, the government is...
Not me!
My carry ammo is Double Tap .40 cal 155 g.
I haven't bought carry ammo in awhile. I just checked the prices. Wow, I will longer be practicing "every now and then" with my carry ammo. My carry load is relatively inexpensive, but it's quite a bit more than it was a year and a half ago!
Like many of you, I don't argue with anti's anymore. However, I can't shake one particular argument out of my mind. I was arguing with my anti-gun brother-in-law general surgeon. If you're imagining the typical type, you're probably right.
I wasn't saying much in the debate about guns...
I'm 35. I've always said I'll never date a woman who's anti-gun. That seems like a good principle...in theory. Then there's reality. Have you ever made a dating exception for an anti-gun person who's just too good to pass up? How did it work out for you?
