I really appreciate you taking the time to post these. I have always been one who takes his 2nd amendment rights seriously, but my wife...well not so much. A couple months ago I had her watch a few of your videos, specifically the 911 call where the woman was assaulted and the others where the women protected themselves with a firearm. After watching those, she decided that she needed to get more proficient with her shooting and also picked out a home defense weapon that together we specifically tailored to her. She now takes a lot of interest and with increased familiarity has gained much more confidence and I dare say pleasure in shooting.
And wanting to learn more, and being a clean freak, I now have some one who ASKS if she can clean the guns after shooting! I'm in heaven. :)

Just thought you might like to know that you are making a difference.

I disabled comments because, in the past, half the comments were inappropriate or immature. They detract from the message. I'm interested in getting a message out. I'm not interested in wasting my time by deleting inappropriate comments. Anybody is free to comment generally on my Youtube channel page. It's funny that I don't get any inappropriate comments there for whatever reason.

If I was trying to promote the Second Amendment, I'd make sure I couldn't be "flanked" by being accused of hypocrisy by disallowing comments, i.e. The First Amendment.

That's not how the Constitution works, you're not the government, it's YOUR page, etc., but I think you might find that the antis make comments that tend to make themselves look stupid. You could always just delete the inappropriate comments regardless of who makes them also. Nevertheless, it sounds like you tried it and it didn't work.

For the sake of discussion, it's just a thought. :) Thanks again for your efforts.

Just to be clear, I don't have a problem with you disabling comments, I just wondered If the antis were targeting you.

Most of the pro gun stuff on youtube doesn't have a a huge problem with antis.

I have actually seen several of your videos before.

Thanks for taking the time to upload those resources.

The immature comments were most of the problem. It got to be so ridiculous that the comments were useless to read and took away from the message. If you've ever had a popular Youtube channel, you should know what I'm saying.

There is no First Amendment right to comment on a person's Youtube channel.

There is no hypocrisy.

You can't prevent people from flanking you if that's what they want to do.

I made those points previously so you wouldn't think that's what I was trying to say. I said "accused of hypocrisy", "it's YOUR page", "you're not the government", etc.

I just find it convenient that perhaps every single argument purported by gun banners can be defiled by either empirical evidence or irrefutable logic, and I think it's good for as many people as possible to see that. At the same time, it's not very fun to babysit your website and share your opinion or the facts all the time, especially to people who don't care, so I completely understand your choice. A lot of the time I'll go instantly to the comments as the video starts. If I see >50% misspelled words, cursing, and name-calling, I'll usually just close the video immediately. In other words, I form a bad opinion by association of the type of people who actually enjoyed the video.

Thanks again for your efforts.
