Need opinions- Carry Pistol- P200sk, G23 or G27?

I'm applying for my FL CCW and I am in the market for a CCW semiauto. I have narrowed it down to the HK P2000sk, Glock 23 & 27. I prefer .40SW, so I am not looking for suggestions on this round vs. that round. I currently only own a Glock 22, but I have had a G30 in the past which was a bit...

American Handgunner- New Federal Ammo to Replace HydroShok

Did anyone read the little blurb about a "new and improved" HydroShok coming from Federal in American Handgunner this month? I think the little article was near the back. Anyone know anything?

Best CCW Ammo for 4' or less barrel

Bunch of comedians! Ok ok ok... so I forgot which " or ' to use! But I do enjoy being called out for misuse of punctuation! Thanks!

Best CCW Ammo for 4' or less barrel

Best CCW Ammo for 4'' or less barrel I have a new Glock 30 and I have read much debate over the use of less than 230gr .45 acp ammo for protection/CCW. I have picked up some PowRBall, but I would like some other suggestions as well for the best CCW ammo for a shorter barrel. Thanks!

    Best cleaning items?

Easiest Clening Method So Far for Me I have tried lots and lots of cleaners, and after trying MPro7, Breakfree, Tetra, etc., I am sold with the use of FP-10 from MPC. I believe the link I use is www.fp-10.com. Anyway, Here's what I do to make cleaning less time consuming. At Range: Use...

    Gun cleaning 101

CLP will come in the mail soon. Now is the CLP an all in 1 sort of thing that you use as a solvent and a lubricant, or do I use a solvent first? I imagine this is on the instructions of the bottle, but I like to hear what all you experts have to say. Thanks. PR Partisan, FP-10 is all...

    Gun cleaning 101

Partisan-- Good choice on the FP-10 purchase. Just remember, as I failed to do when first doing cleaning, that a little goes a LONGGG way. I am sure I used too much at first, but as you get better at cleaning, you will use less. As many have said on here, patches are a must and get a...

    Gun cleaning 101

First Timer Mistakes I am a classic example of reading many posts when I bought my Glock about many different products. My NRA instructor was a Hoppe's/RemOil guy. My deputy friends were Breakfree CLP guys. I read articles making Tetra products sound like the end all be all. Then came...

    Militec-1?

If you purchase a bottle of Shooters Choice FP-10, it may or may not be the mil-spec version depending on its age on your store's shelves. That's why I get it from the manufacturer--MPC products. But if you get a newer bottle of Shooter's Choice FP-10, then it will be the same formula as...

    Advice on pistol lubricant?

Inexpensive Testing I you truly aren't sure what to use, buy small bottles of each product. I know I can buy a 1oz bottle of Breakfree, 1 oz bottle of FP-10 for about $5-6 (or less). Buy one of each, and maybe a small bottle of MPro7, small can of Tetra spray, etc. I think you can do this...

    Advice on pistol lubricant?

Firepower FP-10 vs. Shooters Choice I agree that they are the same formulas, but I read on the 1911 forum that Firepower's FP-10 now meets Mil Spec vs. Shooters Choice. Nevertheless, whichever FP-10 you choose will be great! I just like the MPC people; George is very informative and...

    Advice on pistol lubricant?

Tried many...now an FP-10 user on my Glock I will give my two cents on being a fairly new gun owner and my experiences with cleaning. I tried Tetra products first...brought the Degreaser, the LP, the grease and the oil. Did ok, but I had SO much to deal with. Next went to MPro7. Cleaned...

    gun lube...

For me, Firepower FP-10 is all I need. I tried MPro7, Tetra, Militec, and Breakfree CLP. Firepower FP-10 just does a great job. I got mine directly from the manufacturer. They sell to Shooters Choice, but I believe that the mil-spec version is sold through MPC. www.fp-10.com

    How do u guys clean?

Cleaning Supplies I use Firepower FP-10 CLP for everything. Does a superb job. If you have copper fouling, use some Butch's Bore Shine, Sweets, etc along with the FP-10. I use the Otis kit and Boresnakes as well. Used to use Mpro7 (good but lots of work) and Breakfree CLP, but just...

    Militec-1?

Glock User I have also been a user of Militec on my Glocks (21 & 22) and then I tried Firepower FP-10. I am now a convert. I think that that FP-10 as a CLP is great and cleans very well. I also think that the FP-10 and Militec are great lubes, but why go through all the hassle of hair...
